Our Crowdfunder is LIVE, and we’re asking our members to help us get our second Swift coastal single purchased.

The new single will belong to the club and will be available for all our members — juniors, adults, women, masters, recreational rowers and those wanting to develop their skills and compete.

At the moment, demand for our existing single is far greater than the availability. A second boat will mean more people on the water, more coaching opportunities and less waiting around for a boat to become available. (Crowdfunder UK)

🚣‍♂️🎉 OUR NEW CROWDFUNDER IS LIVE! 🎉🚣‍♀️

We’re delighted to announce that Olderfleet Rowing Club has been successful in securing support from Sport Northern Ireland through the Creating Opportunities Fund! 🙌

We’re now launching our new Crowdfunder to help us raise £3,000 towards purchasing a second club single, giving our members another boat to train and compete in and helping us create more opportunities for people to get involved in coastal rowing.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. ❤️

A message from one of our coaches… 💙💛

Rory is part of the coaching team at Olderfleet, but understandably hasn’t been around the club much recently. His little boy arrived earlier than expected and had an incredibly difficult start to life. Thanks to the amazing care, expertise and dedication of the Neonatal Unit at the Ulster Hospital, his little boy is now home with his family. 💙

Rory has now set himself a pretty incredible challenge to give something back to the unit that cared for his son — rowing solo across the North Channel from Carrickfergus to Portpatrick, while also attempting to break the current record of 3 hours 35 minutes! 🚣‍♂️🌊

We’re very proud to get behind Rory and would love our Olderfleet family and friends to do the same.

Here’s Rory’s message…

“In an effort to raise funds for the Neonatal Unit of the Ulster Hospital who cared for my son recently, I am attempting to row a single scull across the North Channel from Carrickfergus to Portpatrick.

I’m also aiming to break the record for doing so in under 3hrs 35mins. I would be very grateful if you could support this cause by donating and sharing the link below with any of your various groups and friends.”
