The annual swimming club Panto trip at the Kings will be on the 30th of December. This year the show is going to be Aladdin! The cost of the trip will be £55 which will include a ticket and return bus from the centre.

If you are interested, please can you email myself to secure your space! Spaces are limited so please get in touch asap. Once spaces are confirmed you will be asked to pay a £20 deposit to secure a space. The remaining £35 balance has to be paid by October 30th.

August time trials will take place tomorrow night at 7pm!

WHAT ARE TIME TRIALS ABOUT
Those new to the Club and wondering what does that mean. Time trials are a Club run event where the swimmers from each squad take part in 2 timed swims in a safe, fun, supportive and familiar environment. It’s also one night where all the squads are at the pool together. Also our younger and new members will get partnered with a buddy to help them through the evening as it’s a bit different from a normal training! It’s a fun an exciting night for our swimmers.

EVENTS
Swims are decided at coaches discretion and the decision will be made based on if swimmers require an updated time for a specific event to prepare for upcoming meets.

ALL SQUADS: 50 fly, 50 back, 50 breast, 50 free

WHAT TIME DOES IT START AND WHAT DO I NEED?
Warm up for everyone starts at 7:00pm

Please bring an extra towel, a t-shirt for poolside, a filled water bottle and a small snack for between your races. Also make sure you bring along your best shouting voice to cheer on your team mates.

Can all squads be poolside and ready to get in the water for 7:00pm so we can get the warm ups started.

TIME KEEPERS
We are always looking for helpers to work the stop watches. If you fancy having a go, please make your way to the canteen area next to the pool and speak to one of the Committee members. Having at least one time keeper per lane is vital to the running of the time trials. The swimmers work so hard in training to prepare for these nights. Without time keepers it doesn’t happen.

If you have questions or unsure then please get in touch either by speaking to a Committee Member or Coach in the canteen area or by dropping the Club a message.

Guess which ones have done 4 pool sessions, 3 land training sessions and 3 education sessions, as well as playing rounders and numerous games of "Granny" in the last 45 hours 🤔

Young ones these days have no stamina 🤣🤣🤣

And that’s a wrap on Dunoon Swim Camp 2026! A final day of morning training ended with a fun session on the inflatable, a goal setting education session, plus a crash course in Pilates! 💙

The kids have been absolutely phenomenal from start to finish and have been a credit to themselves, their parents and the club. Everyone has been well-mannered, respectful and mature, and shown themselves and Larkhall Avondale in such a positive light. Well done everyone, here’s to next year… 👏🏼🤩

A very tried bunch tonight after a full on day! A two hour morning training session, a growth mindset education session, team building exercises and games, circuits, a nutrition education session, a team game of rounders, a pre-pool warm up session, and an hour and a half evening training session. Everyone has been absolutely fantastic and put in so much effort into all activities. It is great to see everyone so involved and enjoying their time away together! 💙

A successful first day in Dunoon! The weather stayed dry for us to get out onto the top deck of the ferry. When we arrived we checked in at our hotel and then went straight to the pool for our first training session. Followed by a 2 course dinner (three if you’re Luke)! Early bed tonight for everyone to prepare for a jam-packed day tomorrow! 💙
