Neilly Nicolson Memorial Day

Largs Bowling Club had a good turnout on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural Neilly Nicolson Memorial Day.

A total of 34 bowlers battled it out with teams representing the President and Vice President. It was a close run result with the President snatching victory 66-63.

Neilly was Club President in 2013 and had a long association with the club. The new trophy, in his honour, was presented to the club by his sister, Iona Doull, who stayed to watch the afternoon bowling.

Thanks to everyone for coming along to our Open Day today and making it such a success. The green was packed with lots of people playing bowls for the first time. Many people joining the club as well with our special new start membership of only £35.
