On down from Pladda it's a good plan to go to the fascinating volcanic extrusion in the middle of the Firth of Clyde "Ailsa Craig" This is home to millions of seabirds. Great to see close up.

As you head down towards Ailsa Craig and the Mull of Kintyre you pass the Pladda Light at the Southerly tip of Arran.. There is a bay to the north of Pladda which is relatively well sheltered and an interesting place to stop for lunch.

Off round the corner once you've gone under the Skye Bridge, make your way to Plockton where you're sure of a great night. It's a lovely sheltered bay with easy access to this delightful village with it's lively pubs & restaurants.
