If you've missed your dancing over the past two weeks, then you can celebrate being back to classes tonight! I hope you're ready for some musical whiplash!!!

At 6pm (Beginners) we're doing a new dance to to Christina Agulera and 2341 Studios.
At 7pm (Improvers) we're learning (by popular demand) a floor-filler from 1996 with Rihanna, Thomas Rhett & Teddy Swims & George Jones.
At 8pm (Latest & Greatest) we're going back to a another oldie from 1995 and dancing to Michael Jackson, Queen & Boz Scaggs!

We'll have time as usual for lots of other favourites in each class too. If there are dances we've taught that you specifically want to practice, we're open to requests!

Okay folks, who wants to come on a Line dance weekend??

It’s in Caernarvon, north wales on 12 March and the main attraction at this event is Gary O’Reilly who choreographed some of our favourite dances including hoedown, going blonde and the last shanty.

There are eight twin rooms or four double rooms, currently available all at £250 per person, or a double room for sole occupancy at £306.

If there’s enough of us interested then maybe we can arrange a bus to save us all driving up.

If you’re interested in coming, then please let me call to book ASAP! It’s a £20 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit now and the final balance due by the 15th of January.

A great social event last night visiting Urshie at Ceredigion Coasters and enjoying the musical delights of Mickey Dee.
What hit me last night is the confidence that all the Boot Scootin’ Crew dancers have to get up on the floor now and join in with a dance. And that’s not just the dances that I’ve taught, it’s dances never seen before.
We’re in ‘proud mumma’ mode today at how everyone just has a go at new dances, safe in the knowledge that ‘variations’ (mistakes, intentional or otherwise) are just part of the learning process and it fills our hearts with joy to see everyone having a go, mixing in with the other classes, having good floor etiquette and best of all, having a laugh!

If you look at the step sheet for Ziggy by Gary Lafferty on Copperknob or YouTube. you’ll notice that it’s done to ‘I wanna dance with somebody’. This choreographed track isn’t available on Spotify at the moment, so in class we’re dancing to an alternative Ziggy track.
We are using ‘I don’t wanna dance’ instead.
BONUS…this means you can ignore the tag instructions on the step sheet as it fits perfectly without the tag!

All of tonight’s classes are cancelled because it’s gonna be far too hot in the hall as there’s no air con. Hopefully back to normal next week.

Our new Absolute Beginners class are doing so well! Week two and they stormed through both dances we'd planned to teach in the first 30 minutes, so we did another!

What an amazing first night we had at our 2026 absolute beginners class on Tuesday night.
The hall was packed and everyone did so well!
I honestly didn’t expect that we’d get both dances us to full speed so that was brilliant- well done to all our new dancers and welcome to the Boot Scootin’ Crew!
See you in Tuesday for the next class. I promise it will feel much more familiar next time!

Just 4 more days until our next Absolute Beginners class starts for 2026.
We only restart teaching from scratch once a year, so now's your opportunity to start with the basics and grow in confidence with your dancing over the coming months.
These guys have been dancing for a year now and are moving up to the improvers class as they've had so much fun learning the fundamentals, and now have a lot of great dances under their belts. This could be you too!
