Our Lampeter Bowling Club finals began this evening. Many thanks to Club President Jeff Evans for coming along to support and to award the champions with their silverware.

At Lampeter Bowls Club, we’ve seen many youngsters introduced to bowls through their sports qualifications. Some have gone on to become members and continue playing the sport.

Bowls requires skill, strategy and commitment, and young people who choose it should have the same opportunity for their efforts to count towards their qualifications.

🌧️ LAMPETER OPEN TRIPLES TOURNAMENT – ABANDONED 🌧️

Sadly, today’s Lampeter Open Triples Tournament had to be abandoned due to the heavy rainfall, which left the green unplayable.

It’s incredibly disappointing after so many months of planning and preparation, especially with so many players travelling to Lampeter from more than 15 clubs across Wales. We’re truly sorry that the weather got the better of us today, and we’d like to thank everyone for their understanding and support.

A huge thank you must go to all our members who have worked so hard to make today possible – those helping behind the bar, in the kitchen, on the BBQ and everywhere in between. 🍔🍻

A special thank you to Tim for all the time and effort he has put into organising the entire event, and to our greenkeepers and club members who have worked tirelessly preparing the green and the club for today. Your hard work certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed. 💚

Thank you also to our Club President Jeff Evans for his kind words at mid due during a short presentation to club member Anwen Butten MBE - receiving a framed photograph to place up at the club to recognise her place in the Welsh Sport Hall of Fame. Diolch Jeff!

We’re delighted that so many teams have stayed with us to enjoy this evening’s entertainment, and we’d love to welcome all friends of the club to come down and join us!

Following our Open Triples Competition this Saturday, the day doesn’t have to end when the bowls finish!

We’ll have live music in the clubhouse during the evening, and we’d love members, visitors, friends and family to stick around and enjoy the entertainment and a few drinks from the bar.
We always try to make our competitions a full day out at the club, so your support really does help us create a great atmosphere and make these events a success.

There’s no charge for the evening entertainment, and everyone is welcome, so please feel free to invite friends and family along.

We have plenty of covered indoor and outdoor seating, so whatever the weather, come along, relax and enjoy the evening with us.
