Our aim is to work towards a return to sailing at Bewl and ensure that Bewl is made available for re Our aim is promote sailing for dinghy and board sailors.
Bewl being a natural reservoir has wonderful scenery and a wide range of wildlife: all this in addition to superb sailing on the largest area of inland water in South East England with over 700 acres of water.
The Friends of Bewl Water invite you to join them at the former Sailing Clubhouse at 11.00 on Sunday 26 April to celebrate the importance of Bewl Water as a venue for outdoor sport, health and participation.
Chrissie Reidy from the BBC is coming along to interview distinguished athletes, water users and supporters.
The weather is looking good and the Bewl team will be there with free coffee and pastries available for everyone attending.
Let’s get as big a turnout as possible!

On Saturday, the Skiffs had a fantastic sail in very steady wind (well, on Bewl terms!)
At 12.2 knots, the Flying Fifteens really were flying on Sunday.

The autumn colours at Bewl are stunning, and the low water level hasn’t stopped us sailing. In fact, we can sail every day of the year except Christmas Day.
If you prefer to sail in company, come and meet our friendly Midweekers who sail on Wednesdays, or come and join in the racing every Sunday morning.

Heron Open at Bewl Sailing Association The single Bewl home boat was delighted to welcome eight visitors to its beautiful expanse of water, with competitors coming from as far afield as Norway, Wales and Yorkshire plus a contingent from Chipstead.
