The Wellness Edit: Stop waiting for a 2-hour window. 🌿
Last week I talked about giving yourself permission to shift gears this season. But let’s be honest about what usually happens next…
The moment our regular routines shift, a quiet little voice sneaks in telling us we’ve “fallen off track.”
We convince ourselves that if we don’t have a full hour to commit—if we can’t do things perfectly—then it doesn’t count at all. So we do nothing. And then we carry around this background guilt about doing nothing.
Wellbeing doesn’t have to be a grand, high-maintenance production.
It can literally just be five minutes of sanity:
Sitting outside with a hot drink for 5 minutes without checking your phone.
Taking three slow, conscious breaths in the car before walking into the house.
Lying on the living room floor to stretch while you watch TV at night.
You don’t need two uninterrupted hours to come back to yourself. You just need a few seconds of intention.
Stop waiting for a clear schedule that isn’t coming this week. Take the 5 messy, quiet minutes you actually have.
This Week’s Read 📚
Tiny Habits by BJ Fogg.
If you struggle with the “all-or-nothing” trap, this book is a game-changer. BJ Fogg (a Stanford behavior scientist) proves that real, lasting change doesn’t come from massive overhauls or willpower—it comes from making habits so impossibly small that they feel effortless to fit into real life. Perfect for when life feels full and routine feels rigid.
Until next week…

The Wellness Edit ✨

A little reminder that you are allowed to have seasons.

Summer feels different because it is different.

Longer days.
Later nights.
Kids off school.
Holidays.
More time outside.
More spontaneity.

And maybe instead of fighting that change… we lean into it.

We spend so much time trying to create the perfect routine, but even nature doesn’t operate the same way all year round.

Why do we expect ourselves to?

Your movement might look different.
Your mornings might look different.
Your priorities might shift.

That doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

Maybe your yoga class becomes a walk.
Maybe your early night becomes laughing with friends.
Maybe structure becomes adventure for a little while.

Because happiness, connection and joy are not distractions from your wellbeing…

They ARE part of your wellbeing.

The goal was never to create such a strict routine that you forget to live.

Enjoy the season you’re in 🌿

Until next week…

📖 Book recommendation:

The Happiness Project – Gretchen Rubin

A year-long exploration of what creates happiness, reminding us that small daily choices, connection, gratitude and noticing ordinary moments can have a huge impact on our wellbeing.

📖 The Comfort Book

Because it’s less “optimise your happiness” and more about noticing life, perspective, hope and being human.

But for this specific message — summer, joy, small shifts, ordinary happiness — The Happiness Project fits beautifully.

The Wellness Edit ✨

Last week, life got busy… and for the first time I completely forgot to record The Wellness Edit.

What surprised me wasn’t that I’d missed it.

It was that two people messaged me privately asking if they’d somehow missed it.

I smiled.

Not because of the numbers, but because it made me realise we’re creating something together.

When I first started these Wednesday conversations, I simply wanted to create a space where women could pause for a few minutes each week and think a little differently about wellness, parenting, relationships and the stories we tell ourselves.

Not more noise.

Not another list of things to do.

Just real conversations.

If you’ve watched one, commented, shared it with a friend, or even quietly reflected on something afterwards… thank you.

It means more than you probably realise.

I’ll see you on Wednesday for the next Wellness Edit.

Until then… keep asking better questions. 🤍

Bloody phenomenal. There are no other words. 😭🌿✨

The very first Awaken in the Wild retreat came to life at Maycroft, and I am completely blown away.

To the incredible group of women who trusted me with your Sunday: thank you. I know the logistical mountain it takes just to step away from your families, schedules, and busy lives for a day. Seeing you all completely drop your armor, breathe deeply in the tipi, and connect so genuinely was everything I dreamed of when I started Grace Wellness Studio.

We moved through a morning flow, crafted intention stones, feasted on a traditional country picnic, and let the fire and pure Scottish spring water of the Wild Spa melt every ounce of tension away under the Ochil Hills. We finished with a deep Yin reset and the most magical Yoga Nidra.

My heart is so incredibly full. Witnessing you all leave lighter than you arrived is exactly why I do this.

Rest the body. Awaken the soul. Time to reconnect. 🤍

Huge thank you to the team for the most magical setting. A special thank you and appreciation for for the most delicious picnic ever eaten, the attention to detail and love was tasted in every bite. Until next time, ladies. Sarah x

If you told me at 5 PM last night that we’d be standing under blue skies on the beach jumping over a fire, I would’ve laughed.
We started out in pouring rain, but these women? Actual legends. They showed up anyway, trusted the process, and I swear the universe rewarded us because the clouds literally parted for the most magical summer solstice night.
Yoga, fire rituals, letting go of the heavy stuff, way too much good food, and a total sound bath under the open sky.
My heart is so full (and my clothes definitely smell like bonfire smoke, no regrets).
Thank you to every single woman who brought their energy to the circle last night. You are magic. ☀️🌊🔥
Thank you to great team work. And a huge thank you to everyone who attended you are all legends🙏

The Wellness Edit ✨

The conversations around social media restrictions for young people have got me thinking.

Whilst many adults can see the potential benefits, I think it’s important we acknowledge something:

Change is hard.

For today’s teenagers, social media isn’t simply an app.

It’s where friendships are maintained.
It’s where they communicate.
It’s where they feel connected to their world.

So whilst change may ultimately be positive, we can’t ignore the anxiety, uncertainty and resistance many young people will feel in the process.

My biggest question isn’t whether change is coming.

It’s how we support young people through it.

How do we help them build confidence, connection and belonging away from a screen?

How do we support families who are already stretched?

And how do we model the healthy behaviours we hope to see in them?

Perhaps the conversation starts with us.

Looking honestly at our own relationship with technology.
Creating more opportunities for real-world connection.
And remembering that young people learn far more from what we do than what we say.
