Qualification: 6th of 12, 2nd 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scot behind who shot great across the matches especially on a field like this.

To give some idea, i started on the left of my sight bar, ended on the furthest right with a turn of the thread and still aiming in the red on the left!

Mens Recurve Team Semifinal , and I practised well, gelled as a team really quick, and shot decent. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Wales just shot a point or so better in most ends.

So onto the 🥉Bronze Medal Match tomorrow with the guys 🦾

🏆 It's a cool trophy and I'm sure it's the wrong one! 😬

🙌🫶👊🥳BUT big support to fellow members , , Ludmilla Arzhannikova, and Roland Schekkerman who will be shooting tomorrow to retain (Ludmilla and Roland) or become (Jonah and Jaap) Emporer's! 🏹

Jonah and Jaap have won their category (Recurve & Barebow) for the past 3 years at the annual club King's Shoot. Having been King's for 3 years in a row, they get the chance to challenge the existing Emporer's ⚔️

🇬🇧 British National Outdoor Championships (British Target Championships or BTC in GB lingo!) 🏹

With the usual second last Friday night flight (taking the last flight is a bit riskier if there's issues) into Manchester (whichever is cheaper vs Birmingham) and last Sunday night flight back, it was that time of the year again to shoot a 1440! 😂😭😍

90 metre nostalgia, small faces at 50 metres, trying to clean 30 metres all comes flooding back each year.

I scored alright overall considering its been 70 metres only this year and with 1224 overall and good but not great at any distance it got me 18th for the day.

Sunday back to normal 720 & head2heads. Tidy enough first half for 321, momentum just didnt keep up in second half for a 307 giving me 628 and qualifying 21st.

H2Hs were an opportunity and challenge to confirm if a technique change post-Grand Prix would stick. Enjoyed them enough getting through round 1 but my good friend kept scoring well and took the W, meaning a 17th place finish.

3 more competitions this Outdoor season planned and I've mixed some new stuff with some pre-Grand Prix steps which have been going well this week in practice.

Onto the 🇬🇧 Home Nations Cup representing 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 in Team matches this weekend 💪

No WD40 needed for the 🦾 robot-arm yet!

📣 I've made the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Team for this year's 🇬🇧 Home Nations Competition this weekend in Macclesfield, UK at New Century Bowmen.

This will be my 17th time representing 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scotland which is and has always been an honour and privilege 🙏

There's always the dream of including again in a Games soon, I really hope it is whilst I'm still able to shoot these bows and arrows 🏹

Regardless, I will continue being available for 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scotland at the highest levels and keep trying to knock on the door of 🇬🇧 representation in some way some day 💪🦾

🏹 Up to #210 in the World Rankings after last week's antics 💪

5th 🇬🇧 Brit / 1st 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scot

Just a few 606 places higher than the week before!

Next opportunity for World Ranking points is indoors now 🇱🇺 & hopefully 🇨🇭 ✌️

😲 This effort deserves a post of its own 🙏

😊 I was so touched, surprised, and grateful that , , , , & even thought about doing something for my match, let alone actually designing a full tshirt design, getting them made with 2 days notice, and wearing them! 🤯

At least when my name gets called at competitions its made a lot easier now 🦾
