Seafield Beach water Quality Update from SEPA.

Water Quality Update: Kirkcaldy Seafield Beach

The most recent water quality tests have confirmed that Kirkcaldy Seafield Beach is open for swimming and other water-based activities.

Following precautionary advice issued due to elevated microbiological contamination levels, SEPA has reviewed the latest sampling results and confirmed that water quality has returned to an acceptable standard.

Warning signage has been removed, and members of the public can once again enjoy the beach and enter the water.

We would like to thank residents and visitors for their patience and cooperation while the precautionary measures were in place.

⚠️ URGENT WATER QUALITY NOTICE – SEAFIELD BEACH
We’re putting out an urgent update regarding the water quality at Seafield Beach.

Please avoid entering the water until further notice. Recent conditions suggest the water may not be safe for swimming or any direct contact. This is a precaution to protect everyone who uses the beach.

Water Quality Incident (Kirkcaldy Seafield)

SEPA has requested that members of the public are informed of high microbiological contamination readings at Kirkcaldy Seafield Beach. Therefore, members of the public are temporarily advised against bathing, paddling, or playing in the sea or streams running into the beach until further notice. Exposure may cause illness.

Signage has been placed at key access points with the following guidance:

• Do not enter the water to paddle or swim
• Keep pets away from the water
• Wash hands and footwear after visiting the area, and ensure you wash your hands before eating and/or drinking
• You should not take anything home from the beach
• You should not gather and/or consume shellfish collected from this area.

What a wonderful two days at our Natural Art Walk & Coastal Adventure as part of the Fife Climate Festival. The sunshine, the curiosity and the kindness everyone brought made it really special.

🌞 Day 2 at Seafield Beach – Join Us Today! 🌊

Thank you to everyone who came along yesterday. It was a lovely afternoon and the children especially loved the mermaids on the shore. Your support means so much to us.

We’re back again today for Day 2 of our Natural Art Walk & Coastal Adventure. It’s another beautiful day here in Kirkcaldy and a perfect chance to slow down, enjoy the coast and spend time in nature.
