Congratulations to our U12 Champ who received the most amazing surprise this evening as Made By Jo came especially to hand-deliver her sponsorship! 🥹🤩

And this one means even more because of the history behind it…

Joanna Grant has been part of the VLD journey since before VLD even existed! 🥹 Jo was once one of Becky’s dancers herself, before going into teaching and eventually launching her own amazing MBJ company.

For years, while Jo was still teaching, she always swore she would never sponsor our dancers whilst she was part of our teaching team 😂… but after stepping away from teaching to concentrate on her own business, she surprised us a few weeks ago by asking Sophia to join her team! 🧡

Jo’s words were that she has watched this girl work and graft from being a tiny tot in her own beginner class to the dancer she is today. She has followed Sophia’s journey, watched her grow, and is so proud to now have her as part of the MBJ team. 🥰

And tonight she came especially to hand-deliver her sponsorship — something that was just as much of a surprise to us as it was to Sophia! 🫶

That face… absolutely priceless! 🤩🥹 She genuinely didn’t expect a thing!

🎭 MUSICAL THEATRE PERFORMANCE — VLD

We’ve had lots of people asking about our Musical Theatre Performance classes… so here’s a little more about what they’re all about. 🧡💜

This isn’t about taking dancers away from their chosen style — it’s about adding another layer to their dancing.

Musical Theatre brings out the performer in your dancer. It develops stage presence, expression, floor presentation, styling, character and confidence, whilst introducing a variety of dance styles, steps and performance techniques.

It’s a brilliant addition to both a Freestyle AND Ballroom journey, helping dancers understand how to perform what they’re dancing rather than simply learn the steps.

And the opportunities are very real…

Our latest performance team have already performed in the West End twice, taken to the stage at the London O2, and are soon heading to Alton Towers Scarefest. ✨

Our class dancers are also currently working towards our Moana Easter Showcase, giving them another chance to experience the excitement of performing on stage.

So if your dancer already loves Freestyle or Ballroom, Musical Theatre could be the little extra that brings everything together — more confidence, more expression, more performance… and even more opportunities.
