β½οΈ Match Preview | Final Pre-Season Test β½οΈ
This Sunday marks our final pre-season fixture before the league campaign gets underway next weekend.
Throughout pre-season we've deliberately challenged the players by testing them against strong opposition, pushing them outside of their comfort zone to help them develop, improve and prepare for the season ahead. This weekend is no different as we welcome Cottingham Yellows, another side from the division above.
With a couple of players still enjoying some last-minute holidays, we'll once again head into the game with a reduced squad. However, the commitment and attitude from this group has been outstanding all pre-season, and they'll be giving everything one last time before the competitive action begins.
Sunday is also a special occasion as it will be our first-ever match at our new home, Oak Road Playing Fields, where the club will play its home fixtures from this season onwards. We're looking forward to creating plenty of memories there over the months ahead.
Pre-season is all about learning, improving and building together, and this final test gives us another opportunity to sharpen up before the real business starts next weekend.
We'd love to see plenty of support down at Oak Road as the countdown to the new season continues.

Day at the races this could be a sign
Last night the Warriors continued our pre-season schedule with another tough test, taking on Group 3 side Kingswood Arrows.
From the very beginning of pre-season we've made a conscious decision to challenge the lads by playing against teams from higher divisions. It's all part of our long-term development, exposing the players to higher standards and helping them improve ahead of the new campaign.
Despite once again being without a number of players through holidays and injuries, the squad that was available put in another committed and hardworking performance.
A special mention goes to Bruno, who made his debut for the Warriors. He settled in brilliantly, showing great pace, direct running and plenty of positive intent. It was an impressive first outing and we're excited to see what he'll bring to the team throughout the season.
We asked the players to work hard, stay organised and compete against a very talented and technically strong Kingswood side, and they certainly did that. Kingswood took their chances well and scored three good goals, but we know there are defensive situations we can manage much better. With only Olly and Robert having been consistently available in our defensive unit throughout pre-season, continuity has been difficult, but we're confident those partnerships and understanding will continue to develop once everyone is back.
Going forward there were plenty of positives to take. We created several good opportunities and on another day could easily have found the back of the net. A combination of some excellent, brave goalkeeping from Kingswood and a little lack of composure in front of goal meant we couldn't convert our chances.
As coaches, the result isn't our main focus at this stage. We're far more interested in the performances, the effort, the willingness to learn and how we're developing against strong opposition. Those are the tests that will help us grow, and we're confident the hard work will pay off when the league season begins.
Our final pre-season fixture is on 6th September, where we'll face another Group 3 side, Cottingham Yellows, in one last test before the new season gets underway.
Finally, a huge thank you to Kingswood Arrows for a competitive game played in the right spirit. We wish everyone at the club the very best of luck for the upcoming season. β½οΈ

Happy Birthday to our very own Majid! π₯³π
We hope you have an amazing day from everyone here at Hall Road Warriors! πβ½
Majid is an absolute top lad to have around the team, always bringing positive energy, a smile, and great vibes wherever he goes. He's a fantastic teammate on the pitch and an even better person off it.
Of course, we also have to give a special mention to his second role as our Head Scout & Match Analyst... always keeping an eye on everything going on! ππ
Have a brilliant birthday, Majid. We hope it's a fantastic one and we can't wait to see you back with the lads soon! ππ

HRW 0 - 3 HRR
Tonight the team battled out in a Hall Road Derby.
The result may not of gone in our favour but the performance was excellent from the team tonight.
1st half couldnt of asked for much more as there was some good plays of the ball strong defensive work and some even better saves and went into half time 0-0
2nd half different story as only having 9 players took its toll and tiredness set in but still they kept battling till the end.
Well done to both teams and good luck in your up coming season.

What better way to start the weekend than under the Friday night lights! πβ½οΈ
Next up for the Warriors is another trip to Priory as we continue our preparations for the new season.
After an encouraging performance on Tuesday, we're looking to build on the positives, keep improving our football, and continue increasing our match fitness and sharpness. At this stage of pre-season, the result isn't the priorityβit's all about development, learning, and making progress together.
We're also hoping to welcome a few players back from their holidays, giving them the chance to get valuable minutes under their belts as we continue to build fitness, strengthen partnerships, and grow as a team.
Every session and every match is another step closer to being ready for the season ahead. We can't wait to get back out there on Friday night! π
