Another pre season “friendly” in the bank and another positive performance from The Tics.

Approaching the game with plenty of regulars missing we knew we’d be up against it against a solid side in Drum, but as always the lads showed up and put a solid shift in for 90 minutes.

It was a saw spot conceding a goal so late in what had been a very well contested battle throughout and with plenty of stand out performers man of the match was very hard to pick but this week it goes to Alex Laycock who once again stepped up to the plate and performed extremely well out of position.

That’s another pre season “friendly” ticked off the list and another positive showing from the lads who turned out.

Going into the game with a massive squad and wanting to give everyone a run out we knew it would be hard to find our groove, putting an emphasis on effort and energy was the message before the game and the lads certainly did their bit.

With a few debutants coming in and certainly leaving a lasting impression we couldn’t have asked for much more given where we’re at, walking away victors is only the cherry on top of what was a solid shift from all.

Another pre season game ticked off and more minutes in the legs for the lads.

Fair to say in patches of the game we wasn’t as free flowing and organised as we’d like to be but with us still blowing the cobwebs off its no major dramas, overall it’s another positive showing against a well organised Spring Head side.

A few stand out performers and a credit to the lads who played out of their preferred positions without batting an eyelid but today’s MOTM goes to Jordan Alford, solid shift again🫱🏾‍🫲🏼

First one back after a good lay off, not quite a well oiled machine but certainly a positive outing with plenty of new faces in the mix.

Far too many turns of events to mention but everyone played their part and got plenty of minutes in the legs which is the main right now.

Shout out to Jimmy Burgess on his first Tics appearance coming away with a well earned man of the match, a solid shift and 3 assists.

This weekend we welcome Willerby Jags to Gower.

On the back of another break in fixtures and with us hoping to earn promotion, it’s sure to be a very well contested battle.

As it’s our final home game of the season it would be absolutely brilliant to see plenty of you on the sidelines, get down and back the boys!!

Certainly not our strongest performance of the season but again, it’s another 3 points on the board!!

Struggling to play flowing football for any prolonged periods of time The Tics still managed to come away deserving winners against a hard working yet depleted Glebe side.

Points certainly outweigh performances at this stage in the season but it was a frustrating day at the office as we could’ve scored plenty more. That being said, the 3 points today move us another place up the table so it’s hard to grumble and we move our focus onto next week!

The Tics make it 8 games unbeaten in league action as we come away victorious over Cross Keys 4-1.

After a super fast start to the game finding ourselves 1-0 up in the first couple of minutes it felt at times we should’ve pulled away on the scoresheet more convincingly but in what’s a results business coming leaving the fieldwith the 3 points is all that matters, especially at this stage of the season.

Plenty of good individual performances but today’s man of the match is young Robbie Higginbottom who slotted in seamlessly at the back winning all of his duals and playing some really nice football.

After a heavy defeat in the cup to Drum last week, tomorrow we’re back in league action as we welcome Cross Keys to Gower.
