Had my 3rd and final match of the season on Bonsai lake at lindholme today (2nd August 2026), pulled peg 37 out of the bag and was happy to take my 2nd consecutive section win on Bonsai lake (first was tiktok masters 2026)

Returned to Riverside Fisheries in Barrow for the first time in over a month today and what a day it turned out to be! I started off feeding groundbait on my pole line and while that had a chance to settle I had a look further out with a bomb and pellet resulting in a few carp to 13lb, then dropped onto my pole line for a couple of hours but pulled out of 4 carp one after the other because they were running too hard even with a 16 elastic, so binned that idea and spent the rest of the day concentrating where I'd had the carp on the bomb first thing, ended up with 23 carp for 152lb. It was only a pleasure session so instead of keepnets I weighed every fish in the net before returning it 😃
What a day! Had a new personal best match weight today (see video). I was at Tollerton ponds on a MatchTex Angling match. Fished caster shallow for most of the match then dropped down the edge on meat for the last hour boosting my weight by a decent amount. It was still only enough for 2nd in section and 8th overall with the winner having 323lb 6oz 😵
I'm still happy with what I managed to do today and it's a big confidence boost going into the rest of the season so we'll see what happens 😃

Pics from yesterday's Tiktok masters 2026, I ended up winning my section with 43lb 2oz 😃
Been at lindholme lakes today for the Tiktok masters match..... drew peg 41 bonsai which tbh wasn't the best with the wind coming off my back but still did what I could and walked away with a section win 😃
