With the end of the sailing season fast approaching, it’s time for one of the big ones β€” the EDYC to Ardglass Race, the final race in the four-race Strangford Lough Regatta Conference (SLRC) Offshore Series!

The SLRC offshore races bring together four highlights of the sailing calendar:

Before we knew it, another fantastic Youth Sailing Week at EDYC has come to an end! β›΅οΈπŸŒŠ

Despite some challenging weather along the way, our young sailors embraced every opportunity to get on the water, enjoyed some great racing, plenty of fantastic sailing, and, of course, our much-loved annual island picnic.

A huge thank you goes to Gordon, Jakub, Abbie, Rose and all of our Assistant Instructors for giving up their time, energy, and enthusiasm to make the week such a success. Your commitment ensured everyone had a fun, safe, and memorable experience.

A special thank you also to all the parents/grandparents who helped ashore, especially those who organised the delicious BBQ and welcomed everyone back with much-appreciated hot chocolate after a day on the water.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this another brilliant week. We hope all our sailors had as much fun as we did, and we can't wait to see you back on the water soon! β›΅πŸ˜Š

β›΅πŸ L17 Big Weekend 23rd/24th May 2026 πŸβ›΅

A couple of weeks past was the L17 2 day event at EDYC and what a weekend it was! Twelve boats, four competitive races, fantastic weather, close finishes, great food, and plenty of craic made the second running of the renewed L17 Big Weekend another huge success.

With places changing throughout the fleet and only seconds separating boats at times, the racing was fierce from start to finish. A special mention goes to Charlie Stocking and Emily Kelly aboard Wee Bert, whose superb Sunday performance secured them 3rd overall on their first event sailing the boat on their own.
