π EDYC TO ARDGLASS RACE β SATURDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER 2026 β΅π
With the end of the sailing season fast approaching, itβs time for one of the big ones β the EDYC to Ardglass Race, the final race in the four-race Strangford Lough Regatta Conference (SLRC) Offshore Series!
The SLRC offshore races bring together four highlights of the sailing calendar:
ποΈ Isle of Man Race
π Bar Buoy Race
β South Rock Race
π And finallyβ¦ the Ardglass Race!
Starting from Holme Bay at 11:00, crews will race through Strangford Lough, out through the Bar Mouth and into the Irish Sea, before heading for the finish at Ardglass Harbour.
If conditions in the Irish Sea arenβt suitable, an exciting Round the Cans Race will be held within Strangford Lough instead.
Whether youβre chasing a strong result, looking to finish the season on a high, or simply want a great day of racing with your crew, the EDYC to Ardglass Race is one not to be missed! π

β΅π L17 Big Weekend 23rd/24th May 2026 πβ΅
A couple of weeks past was the L17 2 day event at EDYC and what a weekend it was! Twelve boats, four competitive races, fantastic weather, close finishes, great food, and plenty of craic made the second running of the renewed L17 Big Weekend another huge success.
With places changing throughout the fleet and only seconds separating boats at times, the racing was fierce from start to finish. A special mention goes to Charlie Stocking and Emily Kelly aboard Wee Bert, whose superb Sunday performance secured them 3rd overall on their first event sailing the boat on their own.
