MEMBERSHIP UPDATE

Hi everyone,

As a volunteer-run gym, we do our best to be as understanding and flexible as possible. Over the past couple of months we’ve allowed a two-month grace period for outstanding membership payments to be brought up to date.

We are now in the process of finalising our membership list, and once our statements have been checked, any memberships with outstanding unpaid fees will unfortunately have their fobs deactivated in the next few weeks.

This isn’t a decision we’ve taken lightly, but with a growing waiting list of people wanting to join Life Builders, it’s only fair to our paying members and those waiting patiently for a place.

If you have any queries, please get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can check your account.

Now for the exciting bit… 💪🔥

Two brand new pieces of equipment are arriving in the next week!

🏋️ Dual Adductor Machine
🏋️ Rear Delt / Pec Deck Machine

Will have their own introduction when they arrive 💪 We’re continually investing back into the gym to improve the facilities for our members, and we can’t wait for you to try them out!

Thank you all for your continued support in helping keep Life Builders the community gym it is. Every membership helps us continue to grow, improve and provide an affordable place for everyone to train.

The Life Builders Committee 💪

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CUNNINGHAMS! ❤️

A massive well done to Life Builders Raymond Cunningham and his sons Andrew and Josh, who successfully completed the Hard as Oak 10km Obstacle Challenge this weekend — taking on over 50 obstacles, mud, water, climbs, crawls and everything else the course could throw at them! 💪

The lads took on Hard as Oak to raise money for Heart Failure Warriors NI, a charity that has supported their family through an incredibly difficult journey over the last two years. Following Sandra’s heart transplant in 2025, the support provided by Heart Failure Warriors meant so much to the Cunningham family, and this challenge was their way of giving something back. ❤️

Many of our members may not realise the amount of work that happens behind the scenes at Life Builders. For over 35 years, Raymond and Sandra have volunteered and dedicated countless hours to serving our community, helping others and raising funds to keep Life Builders going. This time, they’re asking for support for a cause that has been there for their family when they needed it most. Let’s help them give something back. ❤️

There were some issues with the online donation link during the fundraising campaign, so if anyone meant to donate but couldn’t, there’s still time to support this fantastic cause.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps Heart Failure Warriors continue supporting local families facing heart failure and transplant journeys.

We’re incredibly proud of you Raymond, Andrew and Josh. A fantastic achievement for an even better cause. 👏❤️

Hard as Oak 10k Obstacle Challenge 15/06/2026

This Saturday 20th June, our very own Raymond Cunningham, alongside his sons Andrew and Josh, will be taking on the Hard as Oak 10km Obstacle Challenge, over 50 obstacles and one of Ireland’s toughest endurance events, to raise money for Heart Failure Warriors NI ❤️

The charity holds a special place in the Cunningham family’s home. Over the last two years, they have experienced first-hand the challenges of heart failure while supporting Raymond’s wife and the boys’ mum, Sandra, through her journey to a life-saving heart transplant. Thankfully, after receiving her transplant in May 2025, she is recovering well.

Throughout that difficult time, Heart Failure Warriors NI provided invaluable support, and guidance to the family. Their work continues to help individuals and families across Northern Ireland navigate through life with heart conditions, ensuring nobody has to face the journey alone.

This challenge carries even greater meaning as Andrew himself lives with the same genetic heart condition that affected his mum. Despite this, he is preparing to take on 10 kilometres, 50 obstacles and one of Ireland’s toughest endurance events with incredible determination and positivity to raise vital funds for this amazing charity. Raymond, Andrew and Josh are giving something back to a charity that stood beside them when they needed it most.

If you’d like to support the lads as they take on mud, obstacles and whatever else Hard as Oak throws at them, any donation would be hugely appreciated.

Good luck lads — everyone at Life Builders is behind you 💪❤️

If online donations aren’t your thing, any members wishing to support the lads can drop a donation into the gym safe. Just pop it in an envelope marked ‘Hard as Oak’ and we’ll make sure it reaches the fundraiser. Thank you for your support ❤️

Huge congratulations to Life Builders members Ryan & Paul on another impressive HYROX performance 🔥💪

Second HYROX done and dusted and these machines weren’t just there to take part, they knocked 1 minute 24 seconds off their previous time, crossing the line in an incredible 1:00:53 🤯⏱️

While the rest of us were enjoying the May bank holiday “heatwave”, standing around BBQs and acting like 20 degrees in Northern Ireland meant we’d suddenly moved to Spain ☀️🍔😎 digging out the garden furniture, paddling pools that hasn’t seen daylight since last July and pretending we weren’t already too warm 😅 Ryan & Paul were out in Germany knocking minutes off HYROX times. Berlin also confirmed that 30° heat and burpees are a questionable combo 🥵🇩🇪

Sub-60 was the target and they’re now knocking right on the door and with Geneva up next, watch this space 😏

Massive well done lads, from everyone at Life Builders 🙌🔥 keep’er lit 🔥
