Cookley Sports Dynamos Under 13's We are Cookley Dynamos Under 13's, we play Saturdays in the Mercian League.

We have the best group of lads who all get on great, they all love playing football for Cookley Dynamos where our motto is " Together We Are Stronger ".

Our first home fixture since April sees us face Rock Sports in a Mercian Division 2 North match.

We look to continue our 100% start to the league season in what will be a tough game against Rock. They were a Division above us last season and have started this league campaign off with 1L & 1D.

Fitness Update:

Fully Fit Squad 👍🏻

Lets get as many of you down as possible, family, friends, pets, people off the street (within reason) to come and support the boys.

The Cookley Servery will be open, aswell as the bar so I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday Lunchtime.

Parents Player Of The Match vs Bromsgrove Rovers: Jay

Jay was excellent on Saturday and fully deserved the PPOTM Trophy, he has been a consistent performer of late but really ramped up his contribution with an all action display.

Playing as a Right Full Back in our 11v11 Friendly really suited him, he's got bundles of energy and is super fit so has no problem getting up and down that right side. Food for thought for next season mate.

He was quick and fierce into the tackle and also showed a big improvement with his timing of his interceptions and when attacking the ball at height. On the floor with the ball, he was immaculate and always tried to play his way out with clever balls up the line or inside to a teammate.

A great performance Jay, well done mate.

Managers Man Of The Match vs Bromsgrove Rovers: Noah

Son of the Manager is not the easiest of gigs as most Manager/Son combo's will tell you.

On Saturday Noah put in an excellent performance for the full 60 minutes, it was a performance with lots of quality on the ball, wicked set piece deliveries and he almost got on the scoresheet with a delightful free kick which the keeper tipped around the post.

What was most pleasing was Noahs effort levels without the ball along with a desire to win the ball back and get us playing. Its a must on the pitch to play in my team.

Well done mate, you've set the bar now. Lets keep it at this high level.

With no league fixture this weekend we have a friendly fixture against Bromsgrove Rovers, this will be another chance for our boys to get used to 11v11.

I'm looking forward to seeing how they get on following on from the positive signs in last weeks 11v11 Friendly.

Managers Man of The Match vs Meadow Park Phoenix: Harvey

Harvey came back into our starting line up with a bang and put in a fantastic performance at Centre Back at the weekend. Harvey is in the process of learning the position having played Centre Mid for the last 12 months.

He has all the attributes to be able to make the transition into a Centre Back permanently and brings an air of composure on the ball and excellent reading of the game to our back line. He displayed this at the weekend and several times he turned the ball over and tried to play out from the back. This was great to see and long may that continue.

I'm looking forward to seeing Harvey grow in this position over the next few months and be sure to keep your focus and listen to your manager/coach in training and on match days and you will have a great season.

Excited about this one as it will be a first ever 11v11 match, it will be played on a full size pitch with full size goals.

This is all about us preparing the boys for the jump to 11v11 next season.

Out: Alfred (Broken Collar Bone)
*Alfred was back out doing non contact training this week so hopefully we will see him back on the pitch by the end of the month*

Other than Alfred we have a fully fit squad to choose from.

Managers Player of The Match vs Bromsgrove Sporting: Marley

Another excellent performance by Marley, topped off by showing fantastic ability to climb highest to head home a match winning goal following a fantastic cross by Oscar.

Throughout the match Marley worked extremely hard and was consistent in winning his duals and always looked dangerous when he had the ball in the opponents half.

Marley's use of the ball was also of a high standard and on numerous occasions he was able to either drop the shoulder or produce a piece of skill to get him away from his marker.

Great performance mate, keep up the good work.

PPOTM vs Bromsgrove Sporting: Louis

Our keeper Louis produced an outstanding performance in our win over Bromsgrove Sporting and was voted the winner of the Parents Man Of The Match Award

Louis gives the boys in front him so much confidence, they know that if anything does get through that they have Louis to beat which yesterday proved to be impossible. He pulled off a number of superb saves to deny almost certain goals and helped us keep our noses in front to the very end.

A part of the game which louis has really developed was evident yesterday, his reading of the game giving him the ability to sweep up any danger with his excellent kicking is a real asset for us. Credit to you Louis for that mate.

Really pleased you got this award, a win, a clean sheet and a trophy is a cracking start to the season.

Football is back 👍🏻😀, we start our league campaign with a fixture against Bromsgrove Sporting Colts.

Two Divisions separated the teams last season so its a tough challenge for our boys, its one that we will take head on and I'm sure that whatever the outcome, they will all do it with smiles on faces.

Managers Man Of The Match vs Warnden Village: Oscar

Oscar is another who has had a fantastic pre-season, 3 apps, 2 goals and 3 assists shows he is now firmly back in the groove of the Oscar of old.

He produced another creative performance last night and scored a lovely goal. He's equally at home playing on either flank but he's looked superb playing as a 10 during the summer months.

If we put his ability to one side for a moment and focus on one of Oscars best traits, his attitude. Its first class, he shows this week in week out and is a pleasure to coach.

Well done mate, you've definitely earned your shirt for our opening game of the season this Saturday.
