A very special celebration for our CMDA dancers 💗🏆

On Sunday, we gathered at The Artrix Theatre in Bromsgrove for our Awards Presentation, celebrating the fantastic achievements from our summer exams.

Our students had the opportunity to demonstrate their exam work before being presented with their well deserved certificates and awards.

It was wonderful to see them perform with such confidence and to recognise the dedication, courage and hard work that brought them to this moment.

Behind every certificate are hours of practice, corrections, perseverance and the determination to keep improving. We are incredibly proud of every dancer, not only for their results but for the progress they made throughout the journey.

A huge thank you to our teachers for their continued guidance, and to our dance families for supporting and encouraging their dancers every step of the way.

Congratulations to all our award recipients. We hope you feel just as proud of yourselves as we are of you 💜✨

They did it! Lily and Lily Rose have achieved their handstand bridges 💗🤸‍♀️

We are so proud of the determination, courage and practice that went into this moment.

But what makes it even more special is hearing the wonderful encouragement from their dance friends in the background. At CMDA, we celebrate our own progress, but we also cheer just as loudly for one another.

Meet two more wonderful members of the CMDA team 💗

Our Cover Dance Instructor brings warmth, energy and encouragement into the studio, helping our dancers feel supported and confident whenever she steps into a class.

Our Administrator works tirelessly behind the scenes, helping our families, answering questions and keeping everything running smoothly.

Although their roles may look very different, they both play an important part in creating the friendly and welcoming community we are so proud of at CMDA.

We are incredibly grateful for the care, dedication and positivity they bring to our dance family 💜

Calling all little superheroes! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️🐻

A few weeks ago, our Melody Movers had a very important mission: rescue Melody Bear!

Along the way, our little dancers learnt how to perform tendus, piqués and arabesques, before practising their jumps and leaps to save the day.

Through imaginative play, they were also developing coordination, musicality, listening skills and confidence without even realising how much they were learning.

That is what makes our preschool classes so special. Every adventure introduces real Ballet skills while keeping movement magical, playful and full of fun 💗

Well done, superheroes. Melody Bear was very lucky to have you!

Meet the wonderful teachers behind CMDA 💗

Our teachers bring their own experience, personality and passion to every class, but they all share one important goal: helping every dancer feel welcomed, supported and proud of themselves.

They are there for the first day nerves, the little breakthroughs, the tricky steps and the proud moments when everything finally clicks.

They teach far more than choreography. They encourage confidence, resilience, creativity and kindness while creating a space where every dancer can feel that they truly belong.

A new routine for our Advanced Adult Tap group and they are already keeping me on my toes! 🤣👣

I have recently taken over this brilliant class, and I am absolutely loving the energy, talent and enthusiasm they bring each week.

This routine is fast, challenging and full of personality, but they have thrown themselves into it with such a positive attitude.

I cannot wait to see how it develops over the coming weeks.

Why is dance so great for children? Because the benefits reach far beyond the steps they learn 💗

Every time a child walks into the studio, they are given an opportunity to grow.

They learn to listen, focus and follow instructions while developing coordination, balance, strength and musicality.

They discover that progress takes patience and that it is okay when something does not happen straight away. With encouragement and practice, they begin to understand that mistakes are simply part of learning.

Dance also gives children a wonderful way to express themselves. Through music and movement, they can explore their creativity, show their personality and develop confidence in who they are.

Then there are the friendships.

The shared routines, the laughter between exercises and the moments when dancers cheer one another on all help create a genuine sense of belonging.

At CMDA, we celebrate every achievement, from joining in for the first time to mastering a new skill or stepping onto the stage. Every little win matters because each one helps a child believe in themselves a little more.

We are proud of the dancers our students are becoming, but we are even prouder of the confident, resilient and kind young people growing alongside them.

Because dance is not only an activity. It can become a safe space, a supportive community and a collection of childhood memories they will treasure forever 💜
