🔥The boys are back🔥

The lads kicked off their season with a comfortable 3-0 victory against Grendon Sapphires in the Nene Cup.

The boys had two by half time, as Darius found the net twice after two neat finishes.

Shaun grabbed the third in the second half, showing us quality on his first competitive start ⚽️

Solid performance and our first clean sheet of season, sees us move into the next round of the Nene Cup 🏆

Our pre-season ended last week and here is a round up of our results ⚽️

Some mixed results in there, against some good opposition and a few of the lads being away for the majority of pre-season, it could have definitely been worse 💪🏻

The boys would’ve hoped to have got some better results all round, however can’t fault a team when they’re better than you on the day.

The focus now shifts to next week where the boys will face league rivals Grendon Sapphires in the Nene Cup 🏆

The boys will be hoping to get back to winning ways 🔥

Introducing GLK Gold… New Badge… Same Team ⭐️

We’ve been placed in the Nene Sunday League Championship for the season💪🏻

Our first game of the season and first competitive game as GLK Gold, this Sunday vs Grendon Sapphires in the Nene Cup ⚽️

The lads are taking on McPave Reserves tomorrow, Sunday 2nd August at 12:30pm, in what will be our first game of pre-season 💪🏻

Last season we played McPave Reserves 3 times coming out with 2 wins, and most recently playing them in a 3-0 defeat in the David Ferguson Final. The lads will hope the start of our pre-season will end with a better score line 😅

The game is being played at Elizabeth Woodville School, The Willison Sports Centre, Stratford Road, Roade, NN7 2LP.

The lads are buzzing to be back in action after last weeks game was not able to go ahead, come on the Tigers 🐅

This Sunday is our second training session of our pre-season after our first scheduled game was unable to take place. New players welcome 🔥 10:30am-12pm is the start time, as we look to prepare for the new season and first game of pre-season next Sunday against Spinney Reserves 💪🏻

All players are welcome to our open session, starting tomorrow 6:30-8pm playing fields💪🏻

So far the lads have held two football cards during Englands World Cup journey at the Spinney Hill Pub 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Last Friday Evening, at the Nene Sunday League Awards Evening, Daniel Pacey was awarded his League 2 Golden Boot Trophy 🏆👏🏻

Thank you Daniel for all your hard work, you thoroughly deserve this award 🏆

And the gaffers vote goes to…. AMINE BENKORICHI 🔥

After receiving the support from his teammates, Steve has awarded Managers Player of the Year to Amine. A credit to his footballing ability and IQ, with the general consensus choosing Amine for this years best player 🥶

Amine has been with us for 2 seasons now and has become more involved on and off the pitch this year, he has become more committed to the club and has really lifted the team when called upon. & 28 assists isn’t bad too 😅
