FAMILY FUN DAY IS BACK AT KELSO!

Sunday 4th October brings together a brilliant afternoon of racing with plenty to keep the whole family entertained.

Alongside a fantastic card of racing, we’ve planned a packed Family Fun Zone with inflatable games in the Final Furlong Marquee, face painting, magic, a very special Peter Rabbit Meet & Greet, and the chance to find out what it takes to ride a racehorse with the Scottish Racing Academy’s Betty the equicizer.

And because no family day out is complete without ice-cream, and the first 200 children through the gates can pick up a voucher for a FREE ice cream.

There’s even more still to be announced as we build towards one of our favourite family fixtures of the season.

There’s still time to nominate your Kelso Horse of the Year 2026.

The ‘Shades of Midnight’ Horse of the Year Award celebrates the horse that gave you the most memorable performance at Kelso during the 2025/26 season — whether through heart, consistency or a performance you simply haven’t forgotten.

Nominations close at midnight on Monday 31st August, so now’s the time to get yours in.

The winning connections will receive the beautiful bronze trophy donated by The Potassium Partnership, with £200 awarded to the winning horse’s dedicated stable person.
