Good luck to the Bridges Beyond Boxing Ireland Team especially our very own Lochlainn Beagan.

Introducing boxer number 2 Lochlainn Beagan.

I am 17 yrs old I box out of Sean Doran boxing club Keady County Armagh Located about 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Armagh City, near the border with the Republic of Ireland. This will be my 1st trip to America, and I am very proud to be chosen to represent bridges beyond boxing. My other hobbies outside of boxing are hunting fishing and the keeping fit in the Gym. My favourite all time Boxer is Gennady Golovkin.

Interesting fact about me is I do barbering for all my friends.

A great opportunity to show our support to the McGleenan family and all the innocent victims. 50 years gone but never forgotten. This atrocity happened only yards from where our Founder Sean Doran set up the boxing club a few years later. A further connection to this tragedy is that Sean's, wife Anna-Marie Doran RIP was in the Step Inn that night with her friend Maria McShane RIP. Anna-Marie was left with life long injuries both physical and emotional.🙏🙏

Gerard McGleenan – Step Inn Bomb – 50th Anniversary – Sunday 16th August, 11.30am

This Sunday we come together in solidarity with the McGleenan family and all the innocent victims of the Step Inn bomb in 1976.

We would really encourage everyone — committee, players, friends and parents of the club — to join us and wear the club colours with pride.

Please take your place by 11.15am.

Gerard was a huge part of our GAA family and will always hold a special place in our hearts. It is fitting that our club grounds bear his name, ensuring that Gerard’s memory and his place within our club family will live on for generations to come.

Every jersey worn on Sunday, every person attending, will be a salute to Gerard and to all those who suffered — and who still suffer today, fifty years later.

Best of Luck to Arron McKenna
Everyone at Sean Doran Boxing Club would like to wish Arron McKenna the very best of luck in his bid for the IBF Middleweight Title this Saturday.

Arron was no stranger to our club in his younger days, stepping into the ring against Odhran Fullerton and Conor Renaghan as part of the boys preparation for championship bouts. Even then, his dedication, discipline, and natural skill were clear to everyone on the boxing circuit. It’s no surprise to any of us that he has risen all the way to the top.

We are immensely proud of his journey, his commitment, and the example he continues to set for young Irish boxers.

Good luck Arron — bring that title home 💪💪
Aaron 'The Silencer' McKenna

World Title Fight Week

Will Aaron McKenna become Ireland's latest World Champion this Saturday.

Rights folks anyone who like a wee challenge. Alright, its a pretty big challenge but you can do as little or as much as you want / can!!!! 5km or 4 mile every hour on the hour from 8am to 8pm this Sunday 9th March. Pop up to Carnagh for a walk or a run and do at least one of the legs and maybe get a wee cuppa for your efforts!!!
There will be a bucket on site to give a small donation which will go to supporting Bridges Beyond Boxing Ireland and in particular our very own Lochlainn Beagan who travels to America in Sept representing Team Ireland!!!! This will allow Lochlainn to concentrate the boxing!!!!!!!

Mary’s Meals 🚶Walk🚶‍♀️ 2026 – StepByStep
We were proud once again to support the annual Mary’s Meals StepByStep Walk. Yesterday a strong and determined group completed the route from Armagh to Keady and onward to Blaney, taking part in the yearly pilgrimage that ultimately leads to Knock on the 15th Aug.💪

This walk is always a fantastic challenge for everyone involved — but more importantly, it carries a powerful purpose:
raising funds and awareness for the StepByStep campaign, which helps feed over 3 million children across some of the world’s poorest communities.

💙 Why It Matters
A single school meal can transform a child’s life.
It’s incredible to think that:

£19.15 feeds one child for an entire school year

A simple coffee could provide 30–40 meals

A round of drinks could feed a child for a year

These comparisons remind us just how far even small donations can go.

🎉 Our 2026 Impact
This year, thanks to the generosity and spirit of everyone involved, we raised:

Over £1,800

Providing 18,000+ meals

Feeding more than 90 children for a full school year

That is absolutely outstanding.

🙏 Thank You
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who walked, donated, encouraged, or supported us in any way.
Your kindness directly changes lives — and ensures children can learn, grow, and hope for a brighter future.

Well done to all the gang!!!! Mary's Meals

It’s been a little quiet on here lately, but that certainly doesn’t mean the boxing has stopped! 🥊

This weekend we’ve had two of our lads representing Sean Doran ABC in the National U15 & U17 Championships.

Yesterday, Ollie stepped into the ring in the U15 Championship semi-final against a very tough opponent. He gave an outstanding performance, showing great heart, determination and skill. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t his day, but reaching this stage is a fantastic achievement and a brilliant experience that will stand to him. Well done, Ollie – we’re all proud of you! 👏

Patrick, meanwhile, boxed in the U17 Championship semi-final and produced a superb performance to book his place in today’s final. 💪

Patrick has weighed in this morning, got himself refuelled, and is now ready to go again later today.

Everyone at Sean Doran ABC wishes Patrick the very best of luck in the U17 final. Give it everything, Patrick – we’re all behind you! 🍀🥊
