Your setup should change as the club gets longer โณ๏ธ
Hereโs my simple guide for a right-handed golfer:
๐๏ธ Mid to short irons
โข Ball around the middle of your stance
โข Spine fairly level โ no leaning away from the target
โข Around 55โ60% of your weight on your lead side
๐๏ธ As the club gets longer
โข Let the ball move gradually forward in your stance
๐ Driver
โข Weight roughly 50/50
โข Just 3โ5ยฐ of spine tilt away from the target
โข For a draw, try the ball a few inches inside your lead heel
โข For a fade, try it at your lead heel or slightly farther forward
With every club, hinge from your hips and set the handle opposite the inside of your lead thigh.
