Firstly well done to all finalists for getting there, a fantastic achievement. Especially for those making a final for the very first time. 🤝🏆

Finals weekend has arrived at Irvine Park and what way to start it off. The Ladies and Gents Championship finals. 🏆

In the Ladies final we have last years winner Natalie Po***ck going for her 2nd championship win going up against Madge Williamson who is going for her 10th and club record championship wins. Good luck Ladies. 🤞🏻🤝🏻

In the Gents final we have 5 time winner David Hargreaves come up against 3 time winner Drew Smith. Good luck Gents. 🤞🏻🤝🏻

Both matches were due to start at half 5 but may be later due to work commitments. Come by and support the players. 🍻

Well done to Madge Williamson on winning the Ladies Marymass Singles last night. After a fantastic match, she beat Lorna Walker of Blacklands BC 21-19. Brilliant, well done! 🏆

Mon the Park 💪🏻

It was a mixed day of results for Irvine Park. Unfortunately this morning our Ladies lost to a very strong Auchinleck team in the Ayrshire 2 bowl triples final. Congratulations to Auchinleck. But a huge well done to our 3 ladies Linda Jane Hart, Maureen Kerr and Madge Williamson on getting to the final, you’ve made the club proud. What an achievement. 👏👏

Into the Afternoon at Kilwinning BC we had Martin Williamson playing Brian Williams from Annbank BC in the Ayrshire Singles final. It was a nip and tuck match, not a lot between the 2 initially but Martin soon shot up a couple of gears and played the way we all know he can. He ran away with a 21-12 victory. Hard lines to Brian who played really well, the game was also played in the right spirit. Martin becomes the first Irvine Park player to win the Ayrshire Gents singles title since Jim Muir in 1980. It also adds to Martins other 3 Ayrshire titles putting him on 4! What an achievement, the club are immensely proud. Get in there! 🏆👏

Unfortunately our lads lost 3-2 in a very close contest against top opposition. Great effort lads. Great achievement getting there. 👏
