On the penultimate weekend of the season Thomson McCallum Irvine take on Victoria in Round 19 of WDCU Premiership Three. Victoria are an explosive side and we will need to be on top form to take maximum points from todays match. Thomson McCallum Irvine v Glasgow Accies

We firstly had a minute of silence to remember Colin Dawson whose anniversary follows in a few weeks time and it was fitting that both teams have secured promotion,as we remembered his service to cricket in the West, and all he has done for Junior cricket both at club and National level.
He has been sadly missed at our 3 matches in his usual scoring position.

There was a great family atmosphere today switching between the Boks V All Blacks and the live cricket.

A good toss to win with the week of weather we have had. Excellent all round performances once again by the Bowling Quintet, Shashi again picking up Dan before he got into his work as one of his 2 wickets, Levi with 2, Josh and David with 1 a piece, a superb run out by Shashi and pick of the bowlers this week Mo Alam with 3/18.
If the fielders had taken 2 or 3 earlier chances the score of 108 would have been far less.
Special shout out to Hannan who opened the batting today and was learning his craft against both a quick and skilled Bowlers but showed he has plenty potential at that level with some exquisite cover drives. Wickets were given away cheaply in the chase of the target but the calm batting of Levi and Joshy saw the target achieved in 30 overs.

Great to see the boys go top of the table after 8 straight victories.

Today at the MCG we host Glasgow Accies Cricket Club in WDCU Premiership Three Round 18. Another tough test awaits for both teams as both clubs have secured a return to Premiership Two in 2027. Congratulations to both clubs. With the Marymass Festival on and roads closed around the town start time may not be until 12:15/12:30 for those coming along. Our team have had a solid season finishing mid table which has been a fantastic effort by all, considering the number of new players coming through.
