Champions 🏆

Incredible season for the Boys Team 👏👏👏

After 15 years the Teesside Union Boys team finally finished their season top of the league and unbeaten in the 2026 YIDU league. A great season starting in Aprils sunny chills and finishing in the August rain showers, the boys have been fantastic all season home and away. Thanks to all who have contributed this year including parents and supporters but especially the those who are too old for 2027, your efforts over the years has been appreciated.

Unfortunately this year’s YIDU Team Championship was a step and a rain showers too far finishing one shot behind strong East Riding and Harrogate teams.

The Past President of The Durham County Golf Union Tony Garrity has sadly passed away.

The Teesside Union extends its sincere condolences to Tony’s family, friends and all at Chester-le-Street Golf Club at this very sad time.

Tony will be greatly missed.

TSU Scratch Matchplay Quarter Final Draw with Big Fish Garage

The top 3 scratch section point scorers in Div 1 & 2 plus the top 2 in Div 3 qualify for the scratch matchplay knockout event.

The quarter final draw is as per below with the first named player being getting the home draw.

Jackson Kneeshaw (Rockcliffe) v Lewis Wharton (Eaglescliffe)

James Lagan (Rockcliffe) v Tom Smith (Eaglescliffe)

Martin Carver (Wilton) v Ryan Riley (Rockcliffe)

Stephen Howlett (INEOS) v Ryan Elliott (Eaglescliffe)

It is both players responsibility to arrange these matches and advise of result.

18 holes scratch matchplay with sudden death if level after 18 holes.

Closing date for the quarter finals is Friday 11th September.

The semi-final and final will be played on Sunday 27th September. Course TBC once qualifiers are known (neutral course).

The 27th September is fixed so if anyone is not able to play, please advise your club asap so the next person in line can replace them.
