Me, feeling contented! after Tuesday’s 11.30am Yoga at David Lloyd Chigwell having a moment of reflection & pause in the Nature Reserve behind the club. Members experienced a quiet and peaceful atmosphere in the Mind Body Studio today with great feedback shared following postures, I closed class with a seated breathwork pranayama technique finding a Four-Part-Breath towards a 6:3:6:3 ratio which cultivates harmony in your whole body-mind-emotions, bringing balance to your Nervous System. As Per Satyananda and the Bihar School of Yoga. EVEN a short breathing practice can bring real noticeable change. We remarked upon the internal feelings of the ‘inner-flow-waves’ of the breath sensations. Panic energy being felt inside 🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏽🧘‍♀️

Bringing yoga outdoors to Lloyd Park, E17; our Annual Summer Social with my former group and current online class members was as usual a TRUE Delight for us all. Being outside, connecting directly to the natural environment, we enjoyed a welcome cooling breeze, and the fun of balancing on uneven grass. Relaxation with sounds of birds and rustling leaves; Nibbles & Chats afterwards. Reminds us ALL of the benefits of a strong supportive Yoga Community.

As we approach a heatwave week it can feel really good to BE more grounded at times, attentive to the flow of your breath. I often receive many encouraging feedbacks from regular attendees especially noting stronger or more supple bodies, reduced back pain etc. But let’s not forget the Mental Health & Wellbeing benefits too 💛 A calmer mind, an uplifted mood, an emotional release, deeper breath connections. Movement that really does nourish so much more than the body.
