Thursday Night 🌧️🌧️

The final summer holiday session is officially done! πŸ‰

Next week it’s GAME WEEK πŸ‘€πŸ”₯

Tonight we put the lads under fatigue and threw them straight into the πŸ”₯ Ring of Fire πŸ”₯

⏱️ 1 minute of non-stop tackling
πŸ’₯ As soon as one tackle is completed, the next attacker is straight in
🚫 No time to switch off
πŸ’ͺ No place to hide

A brutal way to finish the summer sessions, testing the lads’ attitude, effort and ability to keep going when the body is tired.

πŸ–€πŸ’› FOUR OF OUR OWN πŸ’›πŸ–€
A hugely proud night for everyone connected with Skirlaugh RLFC, with FOUR products of the Skirlaugh youth system named in the Hull KR side to face Wigan Warriors.
πŸ‘ Frankie Dearlove – Super League debut
πŸ‘ Alfie Woods – Super League debut
πŸ‘ Harvey Horne – Super League debut
πŸ‘ Zach Fishwick – named in the side alongside them
To see four lads who came through our junior ranks representing Hull KR on the Super League stage on the same night is something the whole Skirlaugh family can be incredibly proud of.
It’s also a fantastic moment for all the junior coaches, volunteers and families who have played a part in their journeys over the years. Nights like this show exactly why community rugby league and strong youth development matter.
From pulling on a Skirlaugh shirt as youngsters to the Super League stage. ❀️
Congratulations lads and enjoy every second and do yourselves proud.
Four players. One journey. Skirlaugh to Super League.

Tuesday Training πŸ‰

Tonight we switched the focus to defence.

We started with an L-shape pressured passing drill before moving into:

πŸ”’ 1 on 1
πŸ”’ 2 on 1
πŸšͺ Closing the gate
πŸ›‘οΈ Defend your line

We finished with a game using adapted rules, keeping the lads thinking, communicating and making decisions while under pressure and fatigue.

More photos incoming πŸ‘€πŸ“Έ

A massive thank you to our very own in-house photographer, Alison, who is always on hand to capture the moments that might otherwise be missed.

These are the memories the boys will look back on for years to come. ❀️

So much focus naturally falls on match day β€” the scores, the tries and the results. But the real work happens at training.

It’s the commitment when nobody is watching, the effort when you’re tired, the determination to keep improving and, most importantly, building that bond and morale as a group.

Developing the players is one thing, but developing them as a unit is where the real difference is made.

Every session, every drill, every bit of effort adds up β€” and when match day comes around, that hard work starts to show. πŸ‰

Another one from the S&P Takeover πŸŽ₯πŸ‰

Another video from the S&P Takeover β€” and there’s still plenty more to come!

We honestly can’t thank Sauaso, Peta and the whole S&P team enough for the knowledge, experience and quality they passed on to the lads.

A brilliant experience for the Bulls, and one we know the boys will take plenty from going forward.
