Coaching & Personal Training isn’t just a programme to follow, it’s a partnership.
You get out what you put in.
That doesn’t simply mean training harder to getting better results.
It means communication, feedback, asking questions, being honest, and trusting the process.
Coaching works both ways. We work together towards the same goals, adapting and learning along the way to make sure you’re getting the most out of your training. And sometimes friendships are made along the way.

Comp Recap - Scott Hanna (Me)
Swipe>>
YNEPF Open Implexus Gym Leeds
We had some goals, we smashed some goals with a little bit of redemption from last comp.
Great start with Squats and Bench with pb's on both, potentially some more in there which we're happy to see.... definitely continue to push these.
Deadlift was up from last comp but still got a load of grip work to do and really express where my strength is with these.
Hit my 500 total milestone that I wanted to smash so a good day over all hitting 8/9 lifts
Squat - 187.5kg (+5kg pb)
Bench - 110kg (+2.5kg pb)
Deadlift - 202.5kg (+12.5kg on last comp)
Total - 500kg (+20kg pb)
Massive thanks to Dan Bedford | The Strength Coach 🇬🇧 for the amazing coaching and handling.
Thanks Steven Newman Alaster Houghton for coming down to support 🙏

The stats are in for .newman.71 from this year's novice
Amazing progression since his last comp, adding a whopping 52.5kg onto his total and just missing out on an extra 10kg on top.
A massive 20kg added to Squats, the big 200kg is gonna land soon 😏.
17.5kg added to Bench Press
and 15kg on his Deadlift (almost 25kg 👀)
Some technical refinements to make and then back in the kitchen to cook......definitely one to watch 💪.

Being an "emotional lifter" is ruining your progress!!
I'm not talking about lifting when you're happy, angry, motivated, or frustrated.
I'm talking about choosing weights based on what you WANT to lift rather than what you should be loading for the results you're training towards.
Many lifters walk into the gym with a number already in their head. Then they force it, regardless of how the bar is moving, how they're recovering, or what their body is telling them on that particular day.
Yes, we're all guilty of doing it.
The strongest lifters aren't the ones who ignore the feedback, They're the ones who listen to it.
Learning to auto-regulate is a skill.
Some days you'll exceed expectations and hit PBs. Other days you'll need to pull back slightly to get the quality work done. Both are part of the process.
Check your ego at the door!!
Train the weight that's there today, not the weight you wish was there.
That's how long-term strength is built.

Do you film your lifts? 🎥
Your videos aren’t just for social media - they’re feedback, and one of many useful tools we can use to guide progression.
Bar path.
Bar speed.
Body position.
Sticking points.
How the weight actually moved on the days it feels heavy.
What feels slow isn’t always slow.
What feels strong isn’t always efficient.
The more information your coach has, the better the adjustments that can be made.
Better cues. Smarter programming. Faster progress.
Film it. Review it. Improve it. 💪

Ryan's hard work is really paying off, with week-on-week improvements after his return to the gym following surgery. We've made some key adjustments to his technique and he's showing great progression as we work torwards his 2nd Powerlifting Competition.
