Another fantastic day at the festival for Team HDA. Lots of medals, both of our troupes taking 1st place, and we’re delighted that our Inter Troupe’s Aladdin has been invited back to perform later today as part of the Adjudicator’s Choice.

A huge well done to all of our dancers. One more day to go! 💙

You’ve all worked incredibly hard over the past few months, taken on your corrections and continued to improve week after week. Now it’s your chance to enjoy the experience and show the examiner everything you’ve learned.

Take a deep breath, dance with confidence and trust in all the hard work you’ve put in.

We’re incredibly proud of every one of you and can’t wait to hear how you all get on later this evening.

💙 Friends Who Dance Together 💙

One of the nicest things about dance is getting to share it with your friends.

Whether they’ve known each other for years or met through class, it’s lovely to see the friendships that grow in our studios. 😊

They encourage each other, make each other laugh, celebrate each other’s achievements, and always seem to have more fun when they’re together.

Some of our dancers first walked through the door not knowing anyone. Now they’re counting down the days until they can come back and see their dance friends again. ✨

Of course they’re learning new skills every week, but they’re also making memories and friendships that mean just as much.

And honestly, seeing those friendships grow is one of our favourite parts of what we do. 💙

☀️ SUMMER CLASS REMINDER ☀️

With warmer temperatures expected this week, we’re taking a few extra steps to help keep our dancers comfortable and safe in class.

Please help us by ensuring your child:

💧 Brings a water bottle to every class
👕 Wears lightweight clothing where appropriate
🎀 Has their hair securely tied back
🧊 Takes regular water breaks
❤️ Lets a teacher know if they feel unwell
🤝 Looks after themselves and their fellow dancers

Our team will be encouraging regular drink breaks and making the most of airflow throughout the studios where possible.

Let’s work together to keep everyone happy, healthy and dancing throughout the warmer weather.

The Little Things That Make Us Smile 💙

When people think about Tiny Tots, they often think about the dancing, the music and the fun…

But some of our favourite moments are the little interactions we share with the children each week.

✨ The excited waves as they arrive.
✨ The big smiles when they spot their teacher.
✨ The little hands shooting up to answer a question.
✨ The proud faces when they master a new step.
✨ The enthusiastic high fives and cheerful “See you next week!” as they leave.

For many children, dance class is one of their very first experiences of being part of a group, following instructions and building relationships with trusted adults outside of their family.

Watching their confidence grow week by week is incredibly special. From shy little ones who stay close to Mum or Dad, to confident Tiny Tots who can’t wait to show us what they’ve been practising at home, every journey is unique.

We feel very lucky to play a small part in their early years and love seeing the trust, confidence and enthusiasm they develop along the way.

It’s about so much more than dancing—it’s about learning, growing, building confidence and creating happy memories that will last a lifetime. 💙

These little moments are the ones we treasure most.

🌈 When the Parachute Comes Out… The Smiles Get Even Bigger! 🌈

One thing our Tiny Tots absolutely love in class is parachute time! As soon as those bright colours appear, the excitement begins.

While the children think they’re simply having fun, our parachute activities are actually helping to support so many important areas of their development:

✨ Encourages teamwork and cooperation
✨ Develops listening and following instructions
✨ Builds coordination and gross motor skills
✨ Helps with spatial awareness and movement patterns
✨ Promotes confidence and participation in a group setting
✨ Supports social interaction and making new friends
✨ Sparks imagination, creativity and lots of laughter!

At Tiny Tots, we believe children learn best when they’re having fun, and the parachute is a perfect example of play-based learning in action.

Most importantly, it creates magical moments that our little dancers look forward to every week. 💙

Happy Father’s Day to all of our amazing HDA dads, stepdads, grandads and father figures! 💙

Yesterday, each of our dancers took home a personalised biscuit as a small token of our appreciation for everything you do throughout the year.

From the early morning starts and countless lifts to and from class, to helping with event set-ups, moving furniture and answering emergency calls to deal with the occasional studio spider 🕷️😂, our dance dads are such an important part of our HDA family.

Dance is very much a team effort, and we are incredibly grateful for all the support, encouragement and time given behind the scenes to help our dancers do what they love.

A huge thank you to the wonderful Crumbs for creating these beautiful personalised biscuits for us.

To all of our HDA dads and father figures, we hope you’re having a wonderful Father’s Day and know just how much you’re appreciated. Thank you for everything you do. 💙
