🥳 Happy Birthday Phoebe B!

Phoebe B joined us fully after Xmas and hasn't looked back since, literally - regularly running around the opposition and averaging at least a try a game!

An out-and-out fullback, Phoebe is not only a threat in attack but a consistent sentry in the backfield, sweeping anyone who breaks through our defensive line.

After a debut season as our top point scorer, we're expecting huge things for the year ahead!

Forward of the Match - Charlotte

When not having a customary 7s pitch-side nap, Charlotte was bossing it in her second sevens tournament from the front row.

Dominant in the carry and putting a huge shift in the scrum with her fellow forwards, Charlotte also earned her first try for the club with a line-break from the halfway line.

Back of the Match & Top Scorer - Chloe

Chloe massively stepped into the captain's role this weekend, organising defence and attack, nailing her tackles and earning a few jackals along the way too.

Putting her body on the line during games and a few TikToks, Chloe also earned herself 5 tries and finished as our top scorer!

📝 T-Rex 7s Recap 🦖

Last weekend, our ladies headed down to the in Halifax for a brilliant day of summer rugby!

For many of the squad, this was their very first taste of 7s and despite the scorching conditions, they stepped up admirably, securing 2 out of 3 wins in the pool stages before bowing out in the semi-finals to the eventual tournament winners.

The ladies were also bolstered by the incredible support of our , who put on a brave showing of their own in a mid-tournament round-robin against Old Brods and Halifax.

Notable mentions have been made of Chloe who as the main driving force behind entering the tournament, took the role of acting captain for the day and inspired her teammates throughout. Emma M stepped up as our ho**er for the first time and never once backed down from the challenge.

Coach Mason praised the immense effort and heart shown by every single one of the players in the blistering heat. For many of these ladies, this is their first year playing rugby and they can be very proud of the players they have become.

Additional thanks goes to the supporting Phoenix members who ended up lacing their boots to help and for lending players when we were all broken.

Maybe we'll do 7s again this summer...

🥳 Happy Birthday Emma M!

Emma M started playing rugby for the first time last August and hasn't looked back since.

Usually found as an openside flanker, Emma absolutely thrived in a recent 7s tournament at ho**er, demonstrating her adaptability and determination to never back down from a challenge.

We're very excited to see what our 25/26 most improved player has in the locker for the upcoming season!
