Tonight sees the start of Mounts season as both the reserves and A team kick off there seasons which will be both competitive managerial debuts for Shane and Kai and Kev and Sam.

All support is welcome and the boys are keen to hit the ground running after a good pre season on and off the field.🔴⚫️

What a pre-season it’s been for MOUNT FC! ❤️🖤

Plenty of football, plenty of laughs and plenty of hard work — but now pre-season is officially over and the 2026/27 season starts THIS WEEK! 👀⚽️

Just two seasons ago, Mount FC was seriously considering whether we could even field ONE team.

Fast forward two years…

Because somewhere along the way, this became about much more than just football.

Luke Widd is another player staying with Mount FC, bringing calmness, composure and versatility to the squad.

A player who can be trusted in a number of positions, Luke has the ability to adapt to whatever role the team needs. His calm character on the pitch makes him a reliable presence, especially when things get tough.

Larsson is another key player staying with Mount FC, bringing versatility, experience and plenty of graft wherever he’s asked to play.

Last season’s Reserves top scorer and Reserves Manager’s Player of the Year, Pete continues to prove his importance to Mount FC.

A long-serving member of the club, Pete has been one of the real backbones of the operations off the pitch for many years, putting in plenty of work behind the scenes to help keep the club moving forward.

And when he crosses that white line, he knows exactly where the goal is. ⚽ With a proven eye for goal and plenty of experience, Pete Leathwood remains a massive part of the Mount setup. A proper servant to the club🔴⚫️

We’re delighted to announce Kevin Leathwood has stayed on as new Thirds Assistant Manager, as well as a player for the club

A long-serving member of the club, Kev brings plenty of experience and a real understanding of what Mount FC is all about. Off the pitch, he’s known for his clear communication and positive energy, making him a great addition to the management setup.

On the pitch, his experience, range of passing and vocal presence will be vital in helping lead the team and bring the best out of those around him🔴⚫️

We’re delighted to confirm that Gary Stevens is staying with Mount FC! 🔴⚫

An incredible goalkeeper with huge presence, sharp reflexes and the ability to pull off saves he’s got absolutely no right to make. When Gary’s between the sticks, you always fancy him to come up with something special.

The only issue? He’s got about three world-class saves per game in him before the glass body starts to crack. 😂 After that, it’s a hamstring, a knee, a shoulder… or something medical science hasn’t named yet.

Wrap him in bubble wrap, get him to kick-off, and enjoy those three saves. 🫧🧤

Pash, better known as Big Sherps, is staying with Mount! ❤️🖤

A man who’s probably seen more clubs than goals in his career 😂 but somehow, no matter where football takes him, his loyalty to Mount always drags him back home.

Big Sherps aka Pashang Sherpa is a unique player. He might not be the tallest man on the pitch, but when it comes to heart, fight and determination, there aren’t many bigger. 💪🔥

He’ll battle for every ball, never shy away from a challenge and always give everything for the badge.

Another season. Same fight. Same loyalty.

We’re delighted to welcome Finlay Barrett to Mount FC.

Despite his young age, Finn has already shown he belongs at first-team level. His relentless work rate, composure and quality on the ball have seen him establish himself quickly, and he’s already proving to be a real asset to the squad.

With a fantastic attitude and plenty of potential, Finn is undoubtedly one for the future. The foundations are there for an exciting journey in a Mount shirt, and we’re looking forward to watching him continue to develop.🔴⚫️

Adam, “Foxy” is staying. A player that brings a commanding physical presence and is someone the team can always trust when the ball is at his feet. Calm under pressure and never afraid of a challenge, he’s a player who gives everything for the badge.

And yes… the glass ankles might keep everyone guessing from time to time, but they never stop him throwing himself into the game. Every time he’s out there, he competes, battles and gives everything for the team.
