Another busy week of racing for our runners!

🔹 Morley YVAA (16 June) – well done to Nigel, Suzy, Steve, Brendan and Colin who represented the club and put in excellent performances.

🔹 Leeds 10K (14 June) – Great runs from Paul, Rob, Luke and Chris. A special mention to Rob, whose performance set a new club M40 record 🎉👏

🔹 Windermere Marathon (14 June) – Well done to Richard for conquering the challenging Lake District course - not for the faint hearted!

🔹 YVAA Grand Prix, Stainland (10 June) – Nigel, Brendan, Colin, Robert, Suzy and Andrew were in action, with Suzy securing 3rd place in her category 🏆

A fantastic weekend of racing with club members taking on challenges ranging from ultra-distance trails to tough road miles. 👏

Lake District Ultra Challenge (29km)
Huge congratulations to Gary for completing the stunning Lake District Ultra Challenge. Covering 29km through some of the country’s most spectacular scenery, this was a fantastic achievement. ⛰️🏅

Marsden 10 Mile
Well done to Lindsay, Nigel, Luke, Aimee, Alistair and Rob who took on the challenging Marsden 10 Mile. A strong turnout from the club and a great effort from everyone on a demanding course. 💪

What a weekend for our runners!

👏 A massive shoutout to Paul, who absolutely smashed the AJ Bell Great Manchester Half Marathon, storming to an incredible 16th place overall. An unbelievable performance in a hugely competitive field – take a bow, Paul! 👏

🏅 Also at the Great Manchester Half were Jamie, Catherine and Alex, with Ian & Angela taking on the 10k on the streets of Manchester and all delivering some brilliant runs in front of the huge crowds.

⛰️ Meanwhile, Jim and Nick were in action at the Colne Valley 10k. And Suzy competed in the Run the Edge race in Cumberland whilst Rob took on the Short Duddon fell race.

A brilliant weekend of racing all round. Well done everyone – we’re proud of you all!

A massive well done to our runners who braved the heat this weekend - they should get a medal for that alone! Excellent effort from Louise & Nigel, who took on the brutal Grim Reaper 40 mile. Extra kudos to Louise coming 3rd overall and 1st female. Lindsay showed excellent strength and resilience at Edinburgh marathon. Congratulations all!

The Calderdale Way Relay always serves us up lots of treats - bogs, hills, spooked animals, curry to polish it off - but mostly team bonding! Brilliant performances from all our runners yesterday! The committee, who managed to swerve and participating this year, are proud of every single one of you! A shout out to Chris also, who ran the Pontefract 10k 👏🏼

🔹 Chris took on the Blackpool 10K
🔹 Colin, Brendan & Nigel were in action at the YVAA Grand Prix
🔹 Heidi & Rob completed the Leeds Marathon 💪
🔹 Gary, Chris & Jim ran the Leeds Half Marathon… although there’s sadly no photographic evidence to prove it! 📸

Massive well done to yet another LRC power couple, Angela and Ian, who travelled to Milton Keynes for a spot of racing! Ian paced his way to a marathon PB and Angela put in a solid performance in the half. Well done both - perfect way to spend a bank holiday Monday!

🔥 Debbie smashed a marathon PB in Belfast - huge run, huge result!
⛰️ Nick took on Trooper Lane at Bluebell 10 - not for the faint hearted!
🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️ A very well done to Catherine, who put in a brilliant performance at the Scissett Triathlon
🌲 And finally Colin, who powered through the Run Greno 12k trail.

Strong racing, tough courses, and serious effort all round!

London marathon did not disappoint today! Paul smashed his own club record with a time of 2:36:01 - outstanding! Ben also ran a PB, whilst also raising money for the Whizz Kids charity. Jason, our luckiest runner, gaining yet another ballot place, ran a solid sub 3:45. Oksana suffered with an injury, but it meant she was able to soak even more of the atmosphere up! Well done to all of you
