Holmfirth won the toss and elected to bat first, posting 88/3 from their 12 overs. Tight bowling and disciplined fielding from Lepton kept the scoring under control throughout, preventing Holmfirth from building any significant momentum or producing any big overs.

Oliver J was the standout bowler, finishing with excellent figures of 1-15 from his 3 overs.

In reply, Lepton approached the chase positively, keeping pace with the required run rate from the very first ball. A crucial second-wicket partnership of 65 between Will R and skipper Danny J put Lepton firmly in control of the match.

Lepton successfully chased down the target with six balls to spare, securing a well-deserved victory.

🏏 What a fantastic performance from our Volts Cricket girls at home today! Every single player gave it their all, and it showed with a brilliant win by a comfortable margin.

We couldn’t be prouder of the whole team for their determination, teamwork, and outstanding effort throughout the match.

Another busy week awaits at Lepton Highlanders Cricket Club! 🏏💙

There are fixtures across our junior, women’s and evening league sides, with teams representing the club throughout the week stating this evening for the U15s.

From Monday evening through to Sunday’s junior fixtures, there’s plenty of cricket to enjoy.

Lepton Chargers had an exciting game this morning hosting to Thurstonland.
Losing the toss & out to bat first, we had some excellent running between the wickets, a few boundaries from the team & achieved a good score for Thurstonland to chase.
Great batting pairs for Lepton with special mention to Charlotte & Montse.

In the 2nd innings Lepton tried to be tight on the field and had some good bowling overs between the team.
It became a tight last pairing with either team taking the win. A great over from Sarah, then Charlotte put Lepton in a good position. Ella taking a wicket in her last over leaving Tasha to bowl last & Ella covering the wicket. Taking a catch in the 2nd to last ball & leading Lepton to win the game.

Congratulations to Ella on her player of the match performance & well done to everyone that was involved in today’s, game. Some great performances individually with the playing team today.
It was an enjoyable morning for the team
