The ladies were very unlucky to walk away without a point yesterday when the last kick of the game brought a late winner for Elloughton. Some great football played and very unlucky to not get a few extra goals in the second half.

Player of the match jointly went to Aliyah (Hornsea Ex-Servicemen's Club) and Kirsten👏🏻
Aliyah - Made 2 unbelievable saves at 1-0 down to keep us in the game. Solid as usual making smart saves.
Kirsten - Not only scored a worldie but was everywhere as usual, driving us forward and being the heartbeat from midfield.

Brandesburton Ladies 0 - 5 AFC Preston Ladies

A defeat on our opening day against a very good experienced Preston side. The game saw flashes of what we are capable of but that just wasn’t enough. The second half saw us play reasonably better getting more of a foothold in midfield and as a result keeping the ball better. A lot for us to work on and improve on in training.

Player of the match goes to Charlotte (Richard Wright Joinery). Started the day on the bench but had the right attitude came on and shifted momentum in the game. She worked hard, tracked back really well, gambled on loose balls and looked a real danger when she ran in behind. Very positive start.
