Don’t you just love it when I plan comes to together!!

Basketball across Anglesey is growing fast. Now in Holyhead, Amlwch and very soon in Llangefni. People of all ages have access to use these state of the art facilities for free.

Head down to a park and play 3x3 basketball or just get your shots up!!

ICYMI: Yesterday we finished installing the new Mega Slam hoops in Holyhead Park.

It’s amazing to have these facilities available to players on the island. They’re of the highest quality, height adjustable and we have the same systems being installed in Amlwch and Llangefni over the coming weeks too!

Thank you to Basketball Wales, Cyngor Môn Anglesey Council Charitable Trust, Holyhead Town Council, Tesco and North Wales Police and our very own Kris Williams for supporting the installation of these facilities and keep your eyes peeled over the coming weeks for official launch events with our partners!

Coming soon. Llangefni is getting a new basketball court. This is in addition to the new courts in Holyhead and Amwlch that are nearly complete.

Something exciting is happening at Parc Lôn Las — and it’s all about creating a vibrant activity hub for our community.

The refurbished MUGA is already bringing people together, with football goals, marked courts for football, four pickleball courts, and a tennis court. The tennis net will be set up later this week, ready for free community use.

But the centrepiece of the new project is something truly special:

🤩A huge community mural beneath a brand‑new basketball court!🏀

This currently underused tarmac space will be transformed into a bright, modern, energetic canvas that reflects the creativity and identity of Llangefni. The basketball hoops — generously provided by Basketball Wales — will be arriving soon, helping us build a space that inspires movement, connection, and pride.
