This week was a first for us. Karen Ankersone of our regular riders entered Snowdrop into an online dressage competition judged by BD judges. Karen and snowdrop gained 63%! A very good score especially as it was a first attempt.

Another great day today. Lauren, nieve and Niamh competed at national level in horse care and came 16th out of 25 teams. As a centre, our non horse owning members compete against teams who have had horses all their lives so they accumulate more knowledge and especially experience. Also, as the girls have got older they are more difficult to pin down for training as they have school and jobs! Very proud of our seniors.

Another important day! We have our senior members - Lauren, Nieve and Niamh competing at National championships in the horse care section. The standard in this event gets higher every year and it’s quite a difficult few hours for the girls. Hope you all do the best you can!

Thank you so much to everyone who has rung me or messaged about the fire on porthdafarch road. The fire isnt at Gorswen thank goodness and Gorswen horses are fine, one field is a bit smoke filled so Lauren has moved them out of that field. We will be keeping an eye on the situation but I'm overwhelmed at the support Ive received this last half hour. Its especially difficult when I'm still at national championships.

Huge congratulations to Annabelle, Lacee and Mabel. Their team came 19th out of 29! The standard was exceptionally high and the girls managed full points in at least one section. It was a long day as they travelled to Offchurch to a magnificent country estate and were able to watch polo, showjumping and dressage as well. Well done Team Gorswen!

A lovely moment in time today. Our Ukranian friends came to say goodbye as they were returning to Manchester after a holiday on Anglesey. We wish them the very best for their uncertain future and hope to see them again. On the positive side - I think Gorswen has made the girls fall in love with horses.
