Tonight our u15 girls travel down the A*5 to Llandudno Football Club u15s in what could be a league decider ! Holyhead Hotspur Girls are still pushing for a strong finish in what is only their 2nd full season in junior football ! This match has everything and promises to be a real battle!

Matt had this to say " Were feeling good! A full squad for tonight's game, after getting to the league cup final last weekend , our girls are keen to get going and give Llandudno a run for the league. Were heading up on a mini bus together and the girls are bouncing! Fair play Llandudno, they have had a fine season so far but an upset could possibly be on the cards tonight "

North Wales Girls Football League CUP SEMI FINAL

Today we welcomed CPD Bangor Fc u15 Girls to the New Stadium, Holyhead. A clash to decide who would reach the final of the North Wales Girls League cup! This game was always going to be a battle.
Some really good football from both teams in the first half, both sets of defenders on their game and cancelling everything out.

0-0 half time.

Few changes half time and fresh tactics from Matt and danny saw Holyhead coming out with a bit more fire.

Cara Roberts won the ball, she made a brilliant run down the right wing 6 mins into the second half, beating the left back and finding a cross. Finding Ellie Murphy in the middle who doesnt need a second chance to find the back of the net!! Excellent build up and more importantly 1.0 Hotspur!!

The second half was full of drama , bangor pushing hard for the equillizer. A huge shoutout to our defence today, they broke down every attack and cleared their lines. A back four to be proud of and all the hard work in training showed today!

Our midfield left absolutely everything on the pitch , Shannon, Ellie and car in the middle must of covered every blade of grass. Sali, Freya and maisy looked very dangerous down the wing giving Bangor real problems throughout.

Credit to bangor they never gave up and pushed our girls to their limit. We held our own and managed to secure the victory !

" the girls were warriors today! Every battle was won , we attacked and defended as a unit. The pressing and closing down was brilliant to watch . I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came down to watch the game today. The girls are absolutely buzzing to get to the final and it just shows how far this team has come. Only two years ago this team was formed! The future is bright for these girls. On and off the pitch. We have a cracking set up here at Holyhead Hotspur, this is just the start. We are building towards our women's team and the feedback we receive weekly from followers and other teams is amazing . We have so much potential and who knows how far we can go! "
