90 ladies, plenty of laughs and another brilliant Comedy Bingo night at Hindley Hall.

Hosted by Brendan Riley and organised by Lady Captain Kay Bibby, the evening has become a firm favourite in the ladies’ calendar — and once again it was incredibly well supported.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated prizes for the raffle and bingo, and helped make the night such a success.

It was a fantastic evening of entertainment, but more than that, another great example of the generosity and community spirit that makes Hindley Hall so special.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in another memorable Comedy Bingo night.

A special Friday at Hindley Hall for the Wigan & District Lady Veterans’ Championship.

Congratulations to Dean Wood, who enjoyed an excellent day by taking both the individual and team honours.

In the Individual Nett competition, Pat Barry of Dean Wood finished on 73 nett, winning on a card playoff from teammate Tracey Morris.

The team results were:

A strong third-place finish for Hindley Hall, and a big thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success — including the greenstaff, caddies, catering team, scorers, spotters, car park team and supporters.

Everyone played their part in making it a special occasion for the club.

A superb showing from our Hindley Hall juniors at Dunscar Golf Club on Monday.

Four of our juniors represented the club in the John and Brenda Salt Junior Trophy, narrowly missing out on the team prize by just one point.

A special congratulations to Fin Hughes, who won the individual prize with an excellent 39 points.

A fantastic effort from all four players and another strong showing for Hindley Hall junior golf.

Please join us in congratulating Fin and the whole team on a brilliant performance.

Finals Day at Hindley Hall.

A fantastic day at the club, celebrating the players who made it through to this year’s finals and the winners who came away with the honours.

Today is a chance to recognise the people behind the course we all enjoy.

On behalf of everyone at Hindley Hall, a huge thank you to Ben and the entire greenkeeping team for the work, care and commitment they put into the course throughout the year.

Much of what they do happens long before most of us arrive, in all conditions, and their work plays a huge part in the experience members and visitors enjoy every time they step onto the course.

Thank you, Ben and team, for everything you do for Hindley Hall.

Help us give Tom a proper Hindley Hall send-off before he heads off to New Zealand.

Tom has been a familiar face around the course as part of the greenkeeping team, and before he starts his next adventure, we’d love members to join us in the clubhouse for a farewell drink and the chance to wish him well.

Join us tomorrow, Friday 4th September, from 4pm in the clubhouse.

Come along, raise a glass and help us give Tom the send-off he deserves before New Zealand calls.

A fantastic show of support for our Captain’s chosen charity, Alzheimer's Society.

Our Captain’s Charity Day brought members together for a brilliant day at Hindley Hall, all while helping to raise valuable funds for a cause that means so much to so many families.

We’re delighted to share that the raffle and quiz alone raised £327.70.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, bought raffle tickets, joined the quiz, donated and helped make the day such an enjoyable one.

A proud day for Hindley Hall’s Seniors at the Wigan & District Senior Victory Trophy.

Despite an hour-long suspension for thunder and lightning, the seven Wigan & District clubs completed the day in sunshine, with Hindley Hall producing a strong showing across both the individual and team competitions.

Hindley Hall highlights:

Dennis Sheffield recorded a nett 71 in the Horace Pedley Cup.

In the team competitions, Hindley Hall finished:

3rd in the Ashton Salver — Team Gross with 490
5th in the Billy Lowe Trophy — Team Nett with 448

Congratulations also to D Lawrenson of Ashton-in-Makerfield, who won both the Horace Pedley Cup with a nett 69 and the Wigan & District Senior Golf Championship with a gross 74.

Representing Hindley Hall were Andy Jones, Craig Gaskell, Tommy Mangnall, Gary Matthews, Paul Cottenden, Dennis Sheffield, Martin Lundy, Keith Stokes, Graham Rigby and Andrew Taylor, with John Rowson as reserve.

Thank you to every player, caddie and supporter who represented the club on a day that continues to showcase the friendship and competitive spirit shared between the seven Wigan & District clubs.

Looking for a Friday evening that combines a bit of golf, good food and a great cause?

Join us for our Captain’s fundraising evening in support of Alzheimer's Society, with something for golfers and non-golfers alike.

Members can take on the Three-Club Challenge over the back seven holes, with a 5.30pm sh***un start and teams of four. Non-golfing partners can get involved in a putting competition before everyone comes together for a BBQ and evening entertainment.

There are two options:

Three-Club Challenge, BBQ & Entertainment — £10 per person

BBQ & Evening Entertainment only — £5 per person

It’s a chance to enjoy a relaxed evening with friends, bring along a non-golfing partner and help raise valuable funds for the Captain’s chosen charity.

Tickets are available now through Intelligent Golf.

HOLE-IN-ONE ON THE 13TH

A huge congratulations to Karl Donert, who celebrated his first-ever hole-in-one during Sunday’s Open Invitation 4-Man Team Competition at Hindley Hall.

And this was certainly no straightforward par 3.

From the white tee, Karl took driver on the challenging 196-yard 13th and found the bottom of the cup.

A brilliant achievement and one he’ll remember for a very long time.

Karl made sure the celebrations continued in the clubhouse too, putting the Jameson’s on the bar and treating the ladies to a glass of rosé each.

Congratulations, Karl.
