If you want to change your life, transform something within it, achieve a goal, improve your performance to be a better you every day, daily consistency is important, as I’ve mentioned before.

But, you have to make sure that you’re being consistent daily with doing the right things that are taking you towards all of the above not further away.

Because you could already be super consistent with something but that something might not be aligned with what you’re aiming towards and hence is hindering not helping.

It’s why I do strength work at the gym and/or at home, as well as walk every day, because I want to be and stay strong for as long as I possibly can and I want to ensure I’m being consistent in doing the things that will help me to achieve this.

So perhaps have a check in with yourself this weekend and what you’re doing every day to see if you’re helping or hindering your success! 😘

Continuing to be consistent, especially when I have a long drive back to Devon from mum and dad’s ahead of me.

I make sure I get some movement (and more blackberry picking!) in.

Even though it would’ve seemed easier to load the car and just get on the road, which I sometimes do but then I make sure I get a walk in at the other end.

It’s about planning and, like I said before, it’s also about being intentional because if you want to change your life, transform something within it, achieve a goal, improve your performance and be a better you every day, you can find the time within which to do it.

You just have to be intentional with how you’re using your time and what you’re doing with it. 🙏

Keeping moving helps to keep me going when times are tough, life is a bit more challenging than normal and also helps me to enjoy the better times too.

Which is why I get some movement/exercise in every day and since I committed to no zero days for this area of my life it’s been 1055 days of doing so including today’s lovely walk with Abbie Grafton-Mitchell and little man and little little man too, neither of whom are so little anymore!

How about you? Do you manage to move/exercise every day too?

Even when you’re not feeling like doing what it takes to be a consistent human, being consistent and doing the things daily works wonders not just for how you feel mentally, emotionally, and physically but also for how you are able to show up in life.

Especially if you want to show up as the best you that you can be each day, improving daily, performing at your best, and being the optimal human you have it within you to be. ✨✨✨

For me today that included a couple of walks and some blackberry picking too, what did it include for you?

Being able to be consistent on a daily basis for whatever it is you want to improve, transform, achieve, or change in your life is not always an easy thing to do.

It can be challenging & tough, there could be resistance, difficult choices might need to be made, sacrifices are often required to be undertaken too.

Which means it’s a very important to integrate into your life that which can make being consistent daily an easier path to take.

Such as also choosing joy in what you can, no matter how big or small, as often as possible because through doing so daily consistency becomes a much more achievable task to accomplish.

Consistency is key, daily consistency not just as and when you feel like it consistency, for whatever it is you want to improve, transform, achieve, or change in your life.

Being consistent on a daily basis is what will help you to do that. Even if it’s just 5 minutes a day doing something towards what it is you’re trying to change, transform, achieve, improve, doing that something towards it daily is what will help you get there and so quicker as well.

For me today it was yoga and a beach walk because keeping moving, keeping as fit and healthy as I possibly can be (especially as I add more years of life to my life!) means doing something daily towards it.

How about you? What do you need the daily consistency for?

When life goes topsy-turvy, things don’t go according to plan, or you find yourself somewhere you never expected to be or didn’t think you were ready for, it can be very easy to focus on what you should be doing, where you should be, or how you should be handling it all.

But sometimes, what we actually need is to give ourselves a little more grace.

Grace for not having all the answers.

Grace for perhaps finding things somewhat challenging.

Grace for sometimes not navigating everything quite as well as we thought we would.

Grace for adjusting to circumstances we didn’t necessarily choose or couldn’t have prepared for.

Life will always have its ups, downs & in-betweens, & we can’t control everything that happens.

What we can do is be a little kinder to ourselves as we navigate it, accept what is, adapt where we need to, & keep moving forwards.

So, lesson 7 from my, let’s call it the ‘When Life Goes Topsy-Turvy’ series, give yourself grace, you might just need it more than you realise.

Walking is something I do every day, it provides me with much needed daily movement, helps with clarity and focus and especially with navigating through somewhat challenging times.

How about you? Do you walk regularly and what’s your ‘why’ for walking?

Lesson 6

Another lesson that’s been reinforced for me is to not just ask for help, but to ask the right people for the right help.

Knowing what you need is an important first step.

Saying what you need is the next.

But then comes something just as important: asking the people who are best placed to help you.

The truth is, not everyone can give us what we need and that’s okay.

Sometimes the most aligned decision we can make is recognising who has the experience, knowledge, skills, or perspective to help us move forward.

Today’s video shares Lesson 6 and why asking the right people for the right help can make all the difference.

After you’ve watched it, I’d love you to reflect on is there something you’re trying to navigate on your own that might become easier if you asked the right person for help?

If you’d like support creating greater clarity, improved performance, stronger alignment, and a more intentional way forward, I’d love to help.

Whether it’s through Aligned By Design Living: The Weekly Email, The Planner, or working with me, my aim is to help you create a life where you can experience The Alignment Effect, even when life doesn’t go according to plan. ✨✨✨

Another lesson that’s been reinforced for me over the past few weeks is to know what you need and to actually be able to say what you need.

It sounds simple, but it isn’t always easy because when life is that bit more challenging we’re often so busy trying to keep going that we don’t stop to ask ourselves the important question of, “What do I actually need right now?”

Sometimes it’s rest, sometimes it’s space, sometimes it’s time to think, sometimes it’s simply a walk on the beach to reset and realign.

Whatever it is, recognising it is the first step, because until you know what you need, it’s difficult to make decisions that keep you aligned.

Today’s video shares why knowing and saying what you need has become such an important lesson for me.

I’d love you to have a watch and then reflect on what you personally need most right now and have you acknowledged that to yourself?

If you’d like to become more intentional about creating a life that’s aligned with who you are and what matters most, I’d love to help.

Whether it’s through Aligned By Design Living: The Weekly Email, The Planner, or working with me, my aim is to help you create greater clarity, stronger alignment, and experience The Alignment Effect. ✨✨✨
