Social bowlers visited Mere Bowling Green last Thursday for a friendly match. The rain held off and everyone had a lovely afternoon ☺️

What a lovely afternoon for our annual BBQ with a bowls competition to round things off. The winners were John & Ann, with runners up Norman & Maureen. Thanks to everyone who attended and helped out today 👏

Six wins in a row for the Wednesday evening team in the Norley League 4. This time by 202 to 144 against Alpraham.

A beautiful evening yesterday and a convincing win for the Trafford League Team against Timperley Village A by 191 to 167.

High Legh Bowling Club's annual away day to Owley Wood was another great success, with an impressive 32 members making the trip.

The day kicked off under rather gloomy skies, but thankfully the weather soon realised it was a bowling day and the sun made a welcome appearance after lunch. Members took part in a friendly competition before and after enjoying a delicious buffet – proving that a full stomach doesn't always spoil your bowling!

There was plenty of excellent bowling, lots of laughter and, most importantly, everyone had a fantastic time. Winners and runners-up were rewarded with boxes of chocolates, which had been carefully stored in a cool bag all day to ensure they stayed as chocolate rather than chocolate sauce!

A wonderful day was enjoyed by all, and everyone is already looking forward to the club's next social event – the Annual BBQ, taking place on Saturday 22nd August at 12 noon.

Make sure you keep the date free – if today's turnout is anything to go by, it'll be another cracking day!
