A great start from our men’s first team today! A goal each for Finn and Rob, a MOTM performance from Scotty! Although the captains report talks of a great performance from all the “youngins” stepping up from the twos! Well played chaps!

A rough start for our Ladies, lots of over lapping holidays meant we had only 11, a nasty eye injury to our Sarah and then the hamstring ping from our young keeper! Well played a positive of a hattrick from Kath Wallace to take from the Game

England Hockey Awards 2025/26 🏑

Last night saw the England Hockey Awards take place in Leicester, celebrating the incredible people and clubs who make our sport so special.

A huge thank you to Sue and Ian for proudly representing our club at the event.

An especially massive congratulations to Claire-Jane, who was crowned the Yorkshire & East Coast Volunteer of the Year. A truly well deserved recognition for the dedication, time and passion she gives to our club and the wider hockey community. 👏🌟

After being named Yorkshire & East Coast Emerging Club of the Year, we were honoured to be shortlisted for the national award. While we didn’t take home the top prize, we couldn’t be prouder to have represented our region on the national stage.

It’s a fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work, commitment and volunteer spirit that runs throughout our club, particularly fitting as we come to the close of .

Congratulations to Wyre Forest Hockey Club
on taking home the national title. 👏🏆

🏑✨ TYNEDALE LADIES HOCKEY CLUB AWARDS 2025/2026 ✨🏑

What a season it’s been for Tynedale Ladies full of grit, laughter, teamwork, friendship and some absolutely brilliant hockey! Now it’s time to celebrate the incredible women who have gone above and beyond this season… 💙💛

🌟 Top Goal Scorer & Players’ Player of the Year Kath Wallace 🌟

What a debut season from Kath! From the moment she joined the squad, she brought talent, positivity and an infectious energy to the team. A truly lovely person on and off the pitch and an absolute nightmare for opposition defences!

With an incredible 16 goals this season, Kath claims the Golden Stick as our Top Goal Scorer, and to top it off, was also voted Players’ Player of the Year by her teammates a reflection not just of her skill, but the kindness and support she brings to the whole club.

A special shoutout too to Kath’s Mum and Dad, whose support from the sidelines never goes unnoticed!

Congratulations Kath what an outstanding first season! 🏆✨

🌟 Junior Player of the Year Erin 🌟

Erin may be one of our younger players, but she plays with the heart, determination and composure of someone far beyond her years. A relentless little engine in midfield, she never stops working and always gives absolutely everything for the team.

Strong, talented and full of maturity and encouragement, Erin is a fantastic role model for our younger players and an enormous asset to the club. The future is very bright for this one… future captain material without a doubt! 💫

🌟 Club Person of the Year Katy Robinson 🌟

Every club has those people who quietly keep everything ticking over behind the scenes… and for us, Katy is one of those top people shes our very own Bubbles Katy Robinson! 💙

From organising Player of the Match, chasing subs, helping with juniors, supporting the team week in week out, to standing strong in defence when we need her most Katy does it all with a smile and endless dedication.

She may be small, but she is absolutely mighty, and Tynedale Ladies simply wouldn’t be the same without her.

Final game of the season sunshine, smiles, and that unbeatable feel good factor.

This fixture should have been played three weeks ago, but when Sunderland Hockey Club Development couldn’t field a team due to injury and illness, we had a choice. Take the walkover… or do the right thing.

We rearranged. And we’re so glad we did.

Because THIS IS HOCKEY 🏑

Played in a part of the country often overlooked when it comes to England Hockey funding and spotlight, but never lacking in heart, passion, or community.

Both teams were INCREDIBLE!!

The atmosphere? Class.
Team spirit? Through the roof.
A perfect mix of youthful energy and a sprinkling of “experience” the same old faces still proudly strapping on the shinnies week in, week out.

But most importantly… it gave the next generation a chance to play, compete, and fall in love with the game.

That’s how grassroots hockey survives. That’s how it thrives right here in the North East.

Massive credit to the parents, carers, umpires, captains, coaches, and fixtures secretaries the volunteers who make all of this possible. The invisible committees that keep your clubs going!

You are the backbone of our sport we love so much!

Our Tynedale U16 Girls have reached the Tier 1 Supra Cup National Quarter Final An incredible achievement and something the whole club is hugely proud of! 🙌
