102 years ago today Hereford United played our first competitive game as we took on Atherstone Town in the Birmingham Combination League.

In 2004 Atherstone got their name back and soon we will to. Here's the Hereford United Supporters Trust update printed in last week's Hereford FC programme.

🎵 There’s only one Adam Stansfield 🎵

16 years ago today Hereford United lost one of our greats as Adam Stansfield sadly died at the age of 31.

Stanno famously got the assist for Hereford United’s opening goal in our 2006 Conference Playoff Final victory.

Adam Stansfield's legacy lives on in both the song our fans still sing to this day and in the great work done by The Adam Stansfield Foundation

Update On Close Season Pitch Drainage Renovations 10/04/2026

A classy move from Hereford United legend Jarrod Bowen.

Hopefully we see him back at our historic stadium one day.

Update On Close Season Pitch Drainage Renovations Hereford FC would like to share the following update on plans to install a new drainage system under the MandM Edgar Stadium pitch this summer. “I’m delighted to announce that after lengthy and numerous discussions with club officials at Hereford FC (United), along with the founding shareholders...

In November last year, a vote of Hereford United Supporters Trust members saw 81% support a return to our traditional club name of Hereford United. The following month a Special General Meeting of Hereford FC Limited shareholders decided further work should be done to investigate the name change. As we approach 12 months since the vote of supporters, we’ve been asked by supporters to provide an update on Bring Back United.

The Bring Back United group are aware that the club board have authorised a thorough cost analysis of the name change process to take place and this is ongoing. We expect this work to include both the costs of the name change, as well as an analysis of the potential benefits from the name change.

We are fully aware that the club directors undertaking this review are volunteers, who are doing this on top of their existing duties. We would like to place on record our thanks to them for this.

Over recent weeks we have been delighted that support for the name change still remains strong amongst club supporters, with chants being sung and flags being displayed up and down the country as our fans travel to support the team.

A great photo sent in by some Hereford fans before setting off to Darlington this morning. Wherever Hereford supporters travel the message remains the same
