It’s been a successful weekend at the Welsh Open for Hereford Pickleball.
Massive congratulations to Craig & Lisa who came away with the Gold medal in the 35+ 3.5 category.
Congratulations to Harry & Jade too who came away with the Silver in the 15+ 3.0.

A great Club Development Session today. Introducing these new sessions has been a great opportunity to drill a focus on a new skill. If you swipe across you will see Rob tried so hard he lost his arm!
Today’s focusses were on the serve, return and third drop and also competitive dinking. Look forward to seeing this put into practice in next week’s ranking session.

🏓 How long is your average rally? At a recent coaching session we learnt that the average pickleball rally is just 4-5 shots.
Makes you think doesn’t it? There’s not much time to get those points in. Be careful of rushing to get that grand finale though, make sure it makes it over the net! How many times have you thought it was in the bag only to be left wondering how it ended up in the net!
Not Craig though, here is the perfect example of how it should be done.
Count your shots next time and see if the research is correct.

This week nearly 3400 players from 56 countries have descended upon Birmingham’s NEC for the English OPEN.
Well done to Mandy & Chris who played yesterday. So proud to see our players on court.

Our Wednesday day time social session is always over subscribed and many of you wanted more pickleball in your lives so a new session has been added to Spond. A massive thank you to Theresa for the time and energy you put into the day time groups. 👏
Our social sessions are for players of any ability, any experience. It’s just for fun and fitness.
We now run social sessions on:
Mondays 11am - 1pm
Wednesdays 11am - 1pm
Fridays 7pm - 9pm
