And just like that… our summer holidays are nearly over!

We’ve spent August making memories in all sorts of wonderful places — sunshine, beaches, camping adventures, swimming, laughter, family time and plenty of moments to simply slow down and recharge. 🌊☀️

But tomorrow is 1st September…and we are SO ready to get back to doing what we love! ⭐️

We genuinely can’t wait to welcome everyone back into class, hear all about your summer adventures, see those familiar smiling faces and meet some new ones too.

A new term means fresh energy, exciting plans, dancing, stretching, breathing, laughing and making lots more memories together.

A new term is here and we can’t wait to welcome our ballerinas back to the studio for another term of twirling, learning and shining together 🌟

From first pliés to confident performances, our ballet classes nurture creativity, coordination, confidence and a lifelong love of dance in a fun and supportive environment.

Whether your child is taking their very first ballet steps or progressing through the grades, there’s a place for them at Starlight 💛

YOGA MYTHS 🧘🏻‍♀️
These are 3 quotes I hear A LOT!
So, I’ve enlisted Mr Becks to help me set the record straight… 😂

❌ “You have to be flexible to do yoga.”
Nope! That’s rather the point of going. 😂
Yoga helps you maintain and develop the flexibility you already have — and like anything, it’s practice, practice, practice.
Whether you commute, sit at a desk, have a manual job or spend your days feeling stressed and switched on, chances are your body is holding tension somewhere.
Our bodies need time to move, stretch and recover from the bombardment of modern life.
And even if you are naturally flexible? You still need to stretch and, importantly, build strength.
Use it or lose it! 💪🏻

❌ “Only women do yoga.”
Once again, Mr Becks is here to dispel this one!
My classes are probably around 80/20 women to men, but men absolutely DO come along — and quite a few come with their partners, which I think is just lovely. 🥰

Yoga is for everybody. ❤️

❌ “Yoga is not a real workout.”
Sun & moon.
Yin & yang.
Up & down.
In & out.
Strength & length.
Yoga works both sides of the coin.
We strengthen the muscles so they can provide support and stability for our joints, and then we lengthen, stretch and relax them.
You’ll feel worked, stretched and maybe even pulled apart a little…
But by the end of class?
Put back together again. 🧘🏻‍♀️✨

And finally, a bonus myth — especially for Mr Becks…

Absolutely not!
Come when you can.
