Two of the most important factors in a great start to the day is getting water and some natural light.

If you've ever weighed yourself before bed and again in the morning, you'll notice you've lost weight (usually a lb or so) - this is due to the loss of water through respiration while you sleep. It's important to replenish this in the morning and avoid the 'groggy' morning feeling.

I add some sea salt into my morning glass of water as well as any supplements I'm currently taking. The sea salt is to help with the uptake of water so I actually hydrate myself rather than it just sending it down the loo half an hour later. I also take my daily Creatine at this point. Ideally this is done with food but I always forget so have just made it part of the ritual.

I almost just wrote 'expose yourself to natural light in the morning' but let's keep this clean instead! It's important to get some natural light as soon as you wake up to help with the waking process so throw those curtains wide!

Good morning!

PREVENTING PAIN AND POOR POSTURE WHILE IN 'LOCKDOWN'

I don't know about you but while in 'Lockdown' I've spent much more time than usual sitting down working. For me this means... hunched over my laptop, head forwards, closed hip, shoulders forward and back rounded.

I have to keep reminding myself to move and schedule in pieces of mobility. Here's something to help
