We recently had solar panels installed at Hendy RFC and we couldn’t be happier with the service.

From start to finish, the team were professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Everything was explained clearly, the installation was completed to a high standard, and we’re already seeing the benefits of producing our own electricity.

For a busy rugby club where keeping running costs down is so important, investing in solar has been a fantastic move for us.

For anyone who would like to pay their respects to Barry Butcher on Saturday but is unable to attend the crematorium, Barry’s funeral procession will be passing Hendy Rugby Club at approximately 11:40am .

Anyone wishing to gather outside the club to pay their respects and say a final farewell is very welcome to join us.

Our thoughts are with Barry’s family and friends at this very sad time. 🖤

🏉 FULL TIME | YR HENDY RFC 24–24 FELINFOEL RFC 🏉

What a way to start the season! 💚

Our first game of the season saw us take on local rivals Felinfoel RFC in a proper derby — and what a game it was!

A tremendous effort from every single one of our boys today. They gave absolutely everything from the first whistle to the last 💪🏼 🔥

Some huge hits, brilliant carries, fantastic defensive work and some cracking tries made for a fantastic game of rugby, with every player stepping up and making their mark 👊🏼🏉

We’ll be honest… we’re disappointed not to come away with the win after putting in such a massive shift, but there is so much to be proud of in that performance. To show that level of fight, determination and togetherness in our first game of the season is something special 💚

A hard-fought 24–24 draw in a brilliant local derby.
