🔵🟡GBA MIXED PAIRS🔵🟡
Today we had 7 representatives out playing in the GBA mixed pairs. A 10am start for everyone and our guys and girls managed to battle through right to the end.
First up is David H and Lynne J, they managed to make it through the groups to the semi final stage where they unfortunately just fell short against Alisdair Cameron (Colgrain BC) and our own Susan Cameron.
Lee W and Lauryn B also tried their luck today but unfortunately they went out in the groups despite their best efforts.
Our other 2 reps Malcom C and Jackie R managed to get out of the groups and faced the young Garelochhead pairing of Amy and Zak in the semi final, after some great bowling from all Malcom and Jackie made it through to have their chance at the trophy. But well done the young guns for making it to the semis.
On the day there can unfortunately only be one winner and today it was the pairing of Alisdair and Susan Cameron, a joint colgrain and cove effort to take home the win. Well done to Susan for taking Alisdair under her wing to guide him towards the title 🏆😆
Hard lines to Malcom and Jackie, aswell as David and Lynne but well done for reaching the latter stages, and to everyone else who played today.
In other exciting news, over international waters Craig Blenkinsop has shown he is a man of many talents. Putting in a Michael Schumacher esque performance to win the illustrious Benidorm Karting 2.0 title🏆🔵🟡
🔵🟡GBA CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS 🔵🟡
Well done to Alan Godfrey on winning his Senior CoC semi final. Progressing through to the final next Saturday at Cove & Kilcreggan BC.
Hard lines to Iain Dickie who went down against young Shaun McCarry who continues his fine season.
Hard lines also go to the knockout fours who battled it out right to the end eventually losing out after an extra end.
Well done to all of the winners today and commiserations to the runners up.
🔵🟡 GBA CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS🔵🟡
Today at 2pm we have representatives playing in the champion of champions at Colgrain BC.
Club champion Iain Dickie takes on Shaun McCarry (Colgrain BC) in what should be a bumper of a game.
The Knockout 4s of John Neal, Lee Walter, Daren Page, Jim Blenkinsop face Helensburgh BC hoping to replicate last nights result.
In the gents seniors Alan Godfrey takes on the Cardross BC representative.
Best of luck to everyone playing today we hope to see you all progress to next Saturday 🤞🔵🟡
🔵🟡GBA TOP 10🔵🟡
Well after a brilliant display tonight the gents are final bound after defeating Helensburgh BC 8 points to nil. Setting up what should be a thrilling game against Garelochhead BC.
In the singles our own Iain Dickie kicked us off with a good win 21-17 over recently crowned Helensburgh BC champion Charles Cavana in what was a great game.
The pairs backed it up winning a close affair 17-15. The triples also had a hard fought win 15-12 over their opponents. However the rink cruised home winning 28-7 to round off a great night for the gents.
Well done to everyone who played, and commiserations to Helensburgh BC. Many thanks to Garelochhead for once again hosting the game and looking after our guys. One last push for the trophy🤞🔵🟡

🔵🟡GBA TOP 10🔵🟡
Tonight our gents travel once again to Garelochhead, this time to take on Helensburgh BC in the semi final of the GBA top 10. The gents will be hoping to push on from a great victory last friday v Colgrain BC, to try and secure a place in the final.
Best of luck to all out representing the club. Anyone at a loose end are more than welcome to come and support as I’m sure the guys would appreciate it.
🔵🟡GBA TOP 10🔵🟡
Great result for Cove and Kilcreggan with a 6-2 win over colgrain.
Iain Dickie got us off to a great start in the singles, with the triples and rink also getting crucial wins and the pairs were unlucky after narrowly missing out in a tight game.
Hard fought matches across all the rinks tonight as it went right down to the last end.
Well done to all the gents involved in a great result over a strong colgrain side.
Next Friday we face Helensburgh BC at Garelochhead BC in the semi finals looking to book our spot in the final.
Finally, thank you to Garelochhead BC for hosting and keeping our glasses full. And the people that came to support C&K. 👏🏻

🔵🟡GBA TOP 10🔵🟡
Tonight our attention turns to the GBA top 10, as the gents travel to Garelochead to face Colgrain BC in the preliminary round at 645pm. The gents will hope to get their vengeance after losing out to colgrain last year. Best of luck to all those selected. Any support would be very much appreciated by the gents.
🔵🟡C&K LEAGUES🔵🟡
After a long season our members all played their part in pushing Cove towards the top of the gents, ladies, seniors and mixed leagues.
In the Gents league we had mixed fortunes, after some very tight results and members giving it their all for the club the guys dug it out and secured crucial points when it mattered most to finish 3rd in the league. We look to push on for next year and go further. 🥉
In the Ladies league the women had some great results home and away to push it right to the end, the ladies earned themselves a very well deserved 2nd place finish. An excellent result after a great year, hoping to go one step further next time round. 🥈
In the Seniors league, the oldies kept pushing throughout the year and were never far away from the top, unfortunately it wasn’t to be this year however they can hold their heads high after securing a 3rd place finish after some great bowling all season. 🥉
Last but not least, in the Mixed league, “Team A” skipped by Iain Dickie stayed within the top 2 all season and held the top spot for some time, they went into the last game needing a result for the title however it just was not to be their night after putting up a valiant effort all year. After a fantastic year they finished 2nd losing out only to shot difference. 🥈
“Team B” skipped by Craig Blenkinsop also put up some great bowling, with fantastic performances and some brilliant results, the team were unlucky not to finish higher after their display of bowling. Eventually finishing only 6 points behind the winners in what was a very tight league.
Well done to everyone who represented the club this year, we continue to show just how good we are and that we can compete on all fronts. Not bad for a small club on the peninsula 🔵🟡
