It was great to see you all back on your mats this week, some really busy classes too 👍🏻,
We welcomed 3 new yogis who booked on again and we have another 3 joining us next week.
I’ll look forward to seeing my regulars who couldn’t make class last week, next week too 🥰.

We did some big stretches & twists along with postures for mobility in our classes this week, just what was needed after our break, the focus was on where we hold tension, neck, shoulders & hips. A lot of you told me how good you felt afterwards which I love. And you always do great no matter what option of posture you took 💪🏻

We did quite big stretches & holds in Pilates too along with a sequence for glutes & quads I can feel it today and I don’t work half as hard as you lot, you did great well done 👏 you’re smashing it every week 🤜🏻🤜🏻💪🏻

**ANNOUNCMENT**
I’ve been asked if I would run some more Pilates classes so I’ve got 2 NEW Pilates classes coming to Burton Constable holiday park in the fitness room (for now) these will be on a Wednesday evening at 6pm and Thursday mornings at 10am the 1st Thursday class will Commence 1st October and the 1st Wednesday class will commence 7th October
I’m so excited to be bringing my classes to Burton Constable and I’m looking forward to hopefully meeting new faces and sharing my practices with you 💪🏻 drop me a message with any queries you may have or to book your spot.

I’ve started my B12 injections, the 2nd 1 hurt like mad I could’ve kicked her in the shin 😩😂the others have been ok so far 🤞 the next lot are too.
Started on my new infusions an HOUR of sat doing nothing drove me mad, I find that worse than the procedure 😩I have to have another 2 of those and if they do the job I can go onto monthly injections at home. The husband will LOVE playing doctor 😂😂. Since being diagnosed with my condition I honestly cannot praise the NHS and the help and support I’ve received since, bloody amazing 😻.
After my traumas this week the husband treat me to new running shoes I LOVE a new shoe day 🥳.
I’ve managed 4 runs this week, speed is improving again after my iron infusion, I no longer get out of breath when teaching, these infusions are amazing.
Had a great session for core on the reformer using the box and ball (Maggy keeping guard over the balls as she thinks they’re hers 😂.

Firing up the pizza oven tonight and a few glasses (bottles) of wine, york tomorrow for lunch and a catch up with friends, Maggy’s sister (&mops niece ) Dolly and mops best mate Martha, love our meet ups with the Yorkies.
We’ve got hebden bridge to look forward to the week after and I’ve just booked the 1st of our Christmas nights out 😂🥳

Do no harm

See you on your mats 💪🏻

I’m back….

We’ve had the best time away, girls loved it, plenty of walking, food & drink. I didn’t have any runs (just had my 1st this morning) still did my yoga 🧘

Celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary whilst we were away, the husband bought me a gorgeous new torture I mean class planning diary I absolutely love it, don’t really want to write in it 😂😂. We’ve been together 33 years now 😳. Bless him 🥰🥰

I always say it’s really good to have something planned in every week, a little treat for yourself, could be anything from getting a new book or outfit or meeting friends for coffee/cocktals. I’ve got the next 3 weekends booked doing some of my favourite things with some of my favourite people ❤️ also we’ve made sure we’ve got a trip
Planned every month , Christmas is booked and also planning Christmas nights out 😳😁 I do like being organised I think I drive the husband mad 😆

We have a few new yogis and Pilates students joining us next week, and I know you’ll welcome them into class because you’re all fab 🥰.
Some deep stretches, postures for mobility and twists are the focus 💪🏻💪🏻 fantastic classes to comeback to especially if you’re new to my classes

The bad news is time flies
The good news is that you’re the pilot

September nearly over 😩. I do love big jumper weather though, new soups and log fires 🔥

For those of you that need it..
Love yourself a little extra right now, you’re balancing so much , handling things no one sees, and doing your best.
Give yourself a break 💕

Find a reason to come to class not an excuse not too…

Look forward to seeing you all on your mats 💪🏻

I’d just like to say to all my students that anyone laughing at these is in for a hard class ( and you’ve roped the rest of the class in) when I’m back, and you can stand at the front of the class and explain why! 😂👍🏻💪🏻

Feral… absolutely feral.
A few of you have asked how our holidays are going… it’s nice and relaxing thank you 😩😳😂😂

It’s so lovely when you get feedback like this ❤️. Makes it all worth while. Thank you 😊

When I teach a class I don’t just throw random postures and flows in, I have to think about what muscles and joints need warming, stretching & opening before we can start doing postures like fallen triangle or wild thing for these I have to warm up the shoulders (plank/childs,seated stretch) and get in some spinal extension and flexion (cat cow, little backbends added to a salutation, child’s pose to sweeping camel) just for example, I also have to think modifications to the postures and flows. A class can take me 1-2 hours to plan and modify, but I absolutely do LOVE teaching you all. Thank you for choosing me to spend 45 minutes of your time with 😘😘🥰🥰💪🏻💪🏻

Much love Di xx

And we’re off….

Great last week of classes, thanks to you all❤️we welcomed a couple of new yogis to class and will be welcoming 4 more when we’re back 😊. You all did amazing with the transitions we did especially the last flow when we added it all together, absolutely amazing, I love watching you and I love seeing how much you’re progressing 😍
It’s always so nice to get good feedback after class too, especially when you tell me how much you enjoyed it and all the benefits of our practices together that you’re noticing 👍🏻💪🏻

The cracking of joints in classes last week, especially the knees (mine included) but why do we crack?
Gas bubbles pop in the synovial fluid that surrounds our joints or because tendons and ligaments move around the bone, it’s normal but it shouldn’t be painful, if it is painful then please see a medical professional.

Do no harm
Take no s**t

See you on your mats soon 💪🏻

September next week… shut your faces I can’t believe August has nearly been and gone 😳😳.

We’ve had some fab classes with some new & challenging transitions, I have 1 more to throw at you next week 😉😘. I loved the table top-Downdog transitions and wild thing to fallen triangle is 1 of my absolute faves along with Fig 4 DD twisting into Fig 4 hip dip and all the way through to fig 4 side plank.
We did loads for the full rotation of the core in Pilates especially the erector spinae, obliques & latissimus dorsi muscles which often get overlooked (back core muscles) but play a crucial role in posture and protecting the spine. You all did amazing and our new students loved it and you,and can’t wait to come back 🥰👍🏻💪🏻

We had an afternoon of cocktails and tapas yesterday in our fave place, the girls love it as much as we do 🐾🐶💕.

Mags loves joining in on my home practices she’s so funny, she’s on my mat more than me! Had 1 of my favourite deliveries (thanks husband 😘) and treat myself to a salt lamp, I love it

Sad week as 1 of my regulars has moved back to Nottingham and another leaves us next week for Scotland 😢. I’ve loved having you in class & practicing with you ladies, you will be missed by the whole class. We can always meet via Google meet though, I already teach private classes this way, just message me for more info 👍🏻💪🏻

A massive thank you to 1 of my yogis Lisa, who brought me in some ‘magic cream’ for when I have my injections , apparently her young daughter doesn’t need it 😂😂 I’m not even ashamed 😂😂

Last lot of classes next week before we break for our holidays, we do like to take our holidays before and after the kids holidays because I’m old and like the quiet 😂. Pilates might not be on but I’ll let you know individually if it isn’t.

Wishing the people on holiday a fab time
Wishing the people recovering from illness/surgery a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹
And to those who are thinking of an excuse not to come, behave yourself it’s 45 minutes and I do make you laugh 😂😂

See you on your mats 💪🏻

Had my iron infusion last Thursday, they didn’t have any spray to numb my arm, I wasn’t happy but I was very brave 😂😂.
I am starting to feel the benefits of it slowly, I am having a course of B12 injections to work alongside the infusion… more needles.. great 😩😩, they better have the spray 😂.

We’ve had some lovely walks with the girls, I’m so glad the weather is cooler. Mags is a bit feral 😂, really makes us laugh she loves her auntie Mops so much 😍

I’ve managed a longer run this week a bit slower than normal but I know that will improve. I’ve also enjoyed a couple of restorative & deep stretch practices (with my fave yogis 😍😍🐾🐾🐶🐶)

We’ve had some great classes these past couple of weeks, with some challenging transitions, I love watching you have a go at these and pushing yourselves out of your comfort zones, it’s great seeing you conquer postures and holds you’ve been practicing for a while, in both yoga and Pilates classes. I always tell you, you’ll get there all it takes is practice and patience. We’ve had some busy classes and some not so, we’ve seen some new students come and join us and will be welcoming more over the next couple of weeks, I just know you’ll all make them feel so welcome, you always do ❤️.

Saying I’m not flexible enough for yoga/pilates is like saying I’m too dirty to shower!
Flexibility is the outcome it was never the entry fee!
You don’t arrive flexible… nobody does!
You arrive stiff and human, and YOU are exactly who yoga is for…

So come and join us for a practice, yoga, Pilates or both . Just get in touch

Last couple of weeks of classes before our holidays

See you on your mats 💪🏻
