Let’s get behind our local cafe on another month of fund raising for the amazing Rowans Hospice, a place that’s cares and looks after so many loved ones 💙

💚 THIS ONE IS ABOUT SO MUCH MORE THAN A FOOD CHALLENGE… 💚
Tomorrow, 1st September, our next challenge begins.
We’ve called it…
THE BEAST.
We’re not telling you what’s in it. 👀
We’re not revealing everything just yet.
Because this time, what’s on the plate really isn’t the important part.
It’s why we’re doing it. ❤️
Throughout September, we’re raising money for Rowans Hospice to help towards something called a cuddle bed.
Imagine being told that the person you love is reaching the end of their life.
Imagine knowing that the number of times you’ll get to say “I love you” is running out.
You don’t want anything extravagant.
You don’t want presents.
You’d give absolutely anything just to climb into bed beside them…
Put your arms around them.
Hold them.
Feel them next to you.
Maybe talk about the life you’ve shared.
Maybe laugh about old memories.
Maybe cry together.
Or perhaps say absolutely nothing at all…
Just have one more cuddle. ❤️
That’s what a cuddle bed can give a family.
It gives a husband the chance to lie beside his wife.
A wife the chance to hold her husband.
A parent, child, partner or loved one the chance to be right there beside the person who means everything to them when time together has become more precious than anything money could ever buy.
Because when that final goodbye eventually comes…
Nobody is going to wish they’d had more things.
They are going to wish they’d had more time.
One more conversation.
One more kiss.
One more cuddle. ❤️
And if a load of people eating something ridiculous at our little cafe can help another family have that moment…
then every mouthful will be worth it.
So yes, there will be competition.
There will be laughs.
There will be winners and prizes.
Kids can take part for £10 and adults for £20, with different sizes so the whole family can get involved.
And, as always, the fastest times will take the glory. 🏆
But this September, the biggest win won’t be a trophy or a fastest time.
It will be helping Rowans Hospice give another family the chance to hold the person they love.
