After a tough game over the weekend this little drill was a great one to get them moving the ball round tonight.

Dribble to the middle cone, throw in a turn, pass back and move wide ready to receive the next ball.

Off you go!

Unopposed passing drill with interference.

2 balls in play and crossing each others line of play.

The two players at the top of the diamond receive the ball with their back foot, open the body up and pass to the wide player.

Bounce pass with the wide player who carries the ball back to the start for the next player to go!

Don’t hit the poles!

Off you go.

Great little passing drill to warm them up and using both feet.

More from training with U13’s as they prepare for the new season.

In this set up they started off in small groups and completed one touch passing, ball always moving.
It’s a great way to get warmed up and touches on the ball before moving onto the next part of the session.

“Y” passing drill with bounce pass - encouraging a good first touch, limited touches and moving the ball quickly.

A variation of the directional passing and receiving drill…

With a one, two before moving it on.

2 ball directional passing & receiving drill…with ball carry.

Great for positional play and working on those ‘triangles’.

Encourage quick movement and sharp passes.

Warm up passing drill from last night…

5x5 square inside a bigger 20x20 square.
Moving round in a clockwise direction (did the opposite way as well).

Two touch passing, follow your pass.

Good to do at the start of training to get the ball moving and everyone ready.
